I'd say Roux. With under 10 algs, you can get it pretty fast. Super intuitive, I love it.

As for the question, it's very subjective. There's pure intuitive methods and even a method that only requires the sexy move. It all depends on what you mean by advanced and what you want it for.

Beginner LBL method. Most of it is commutators and you can advance to CFOP/Fridrich easily. And using intuitive F2L adds no algorithms (maybe 2 or 3) and is MUCH faster.

Since he said advanced, I'd assume he is meaning one of the main speed methods. I'd go for Roux, from 9 (basic) to 42 (advanced).

Blockbuilding with commutators. I'm not too good at it, but I can still get sub-40 averages.
