Ortega can easily get you sub 5 and can if you practice enough get you to sub 4. If you’re averaging sub-5 and feel like you’ve pretty much reached the limits of Ortega (I average 4.2 with it and don’t see myself getting any faster with it, but it’s different for everyone), then I’d recommend learning CLL, which can get you to sub-4 and potentially sub-3.

Beyond that you can learn full EG, which can get you sub-2 and beyond as you progress into consistent one looking. There are some more algs and strategies to learn past that but it’s better to consult an actual good 2x2er about those.

Also keep in mind this is a very abbreviated guide to learning 2x2. There are tons of detailed and specific resources on YouTube and elsewhere on the forums

I use Ortega with a little bit of CLL and average 3.7. If I wanted to improve more at 2x2 I could learn to predict OLL and learn PBL from more angles, but EG and one-looking would be better. Switch to a more advanced method than Ortega before you're as fast as I am, lol
Hey Efattah what is that LMCF method you talked about in the ECE method thread?
I like learning about new methods, thats why Im spending some serious time learning ECE.
so what are the steps of the LMCF method?

Best way to get into LMCF method , is to get comfortable with a columns first method, like Roux or just corners first basic Waterman method, then we can try to learn some alg sets like L8E and L7E , and get into LMCF.
