[Help Thread] Finger Tricks Discussion and Help

You're asking the wrong question. Out of the 200 or so algorithms I know, like 2 or 3 total need B moves. You need different algorithms.

Unless of course you're asking about for scrambling
I do the beginner's method. I only need B for one move; R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2.

The fastest way to execute that is as x R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2 (it's the same algorithm). To learn to do it quickly, do a YouTube search for "How to execute A perms like a pro" by cyotheking

Very easy algorithm, gonna try to learn it.
But the algorithm doesn't finish correctly for me. For me, the last R2 needs to be just R and add L to the end. It leaves the cube with both left and right up one too many for me.

I edited my post, look again. There's an x rotation to start and no L moves

So i've been cubing for about 2 weeks now and i've been noticing how my left index finger does this weird bend when doing U'. U with my right finger feels nice, but the left always bends and if i try not to it just feels awkward and i can't do anything at all and lose control. But the problem is that my U' is really slow because of this and U2 with left index is very hard. Anybody knows why this happens and what i can do?

how to do U M U' / U' M U?
right now pulling the M slice with my left little finger works best, u guys think pushing U OH style has more potential? or even doing the M with the left/right index and the U'/U with the left/right middle finger
im asking for the one with the most potential, not what im going to be doing faster tomorrow
also im ahving trouble to get used to do D' with my right ring finger, any reason i might be missing, and that would mean that im never going to be able to do it well, so i better stop trying, even tho im right handed?
any tip?
thanks

U: do with left index finger
M: flick it using the space between two knuckles of the middle finger(tell me if what i say is not clear)
U': normal way

Hi!
I am a Dutch speedcuber and i wonder how to do U2 with my left hand. Do i have to do 2 U's or U2 with index-middlefinger?
My average is little bit more than 17 seconde.
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for reading this. I'm trying to get sub twenty and my cross + F2L + OLL is usually done in 21 - 22 seconds my PLL, or execution of algorithms is really slow and slippery. The PLL alone extends my time to about 28 - 30 seconds, and that's what I average. I've noticed recently that my fingertricks and grip of the cube seem to be the problem. My hands are always slipping off the cube, lubed or unlubed, and I've never been able to do U2 with index-middle, as I just can't stretch my middle finger. Plus, I've noticed that while most cubers fully bring their index fingers forward for U2, the do it the whole way and usually make a "hook" shape with their index finger. My finger, on the other hand, always stays on the horizontal plane and I only do a forward flick without really bending it. Other than that, my fingers just keep losing grip of the cube. It's frustrating, I wonder if you guys can help. P.S, are my pinkie fingers supposed to stay on the cube, too? I might upload a vide of a solve if I get the chance.
