In redux there are 12 places to look for edges to pair up. In Yau there are 8. This greatly helps look ahead. The ones on the bottom are hardest to see too and are also less fingertrick friendly.

So i just figured out to solve the 4x4 today, however, i keep getting a parity i can't figure out. All the corners are opposite. It happens on all the corners. For example, the green side of a corner in in the orange and the orange side is in the green. The white also lines up. I have all the edges made to solve like a 3x3/ How do i fix this?
Go watch cyoubx's tutorial on 3-2-3 edge pairing. It's faster and will answer your question

Dude. That's Yau XD
But if by free slice you mean you solve one edge pair at a time, I'd just skip that and find a video on 3 2 2 2 3 edge pairing. It's faster and IMO it's actually easier than the approach your using which is like 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 3 pairing and gets complicated at the endso look around for 3 2 2 2 3 edge pairing videos, that's probably best (And is the first step of getting faster)
Doing [4 4 whatever's-left-over] is what I do, and I think that's the best (in my biased opinion).
There's a reason 3-2-2-2-3 is considered the best...
And that reason is...? I'll be quite happy to learn if it truly is the best (I use Yau BTW).
