5x5 Rubenking edge pieces

I use Andy Klise's 5x5 guide algorithms. To exchange two edge pieces I use:

Lw' U² Lw' U² F² Lw' F² Rw U² Rw' U² Lw²

Unfortunately this doesn't work for a Rubenking 5x5 because it messes up the centres. Are there suggestions for an alternative algorithm?

a quick google search gave me this alg to 3-cycle the center pieces on one face: r' d' r U r' d r U r' d' r U2 r' d r
can't check if it works, though.

This is definitely a nice algorithm to solve the the centres. But I need an algorithm to exchange to edge pieces without messing up the centres.

Solve edges and corners first and then use commutators (http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/Commutators), e.g. the comm above to solve the rest.

Can't change my habits - or at least it's very hard. I am used to solve centres first, then align edges, then solve the cube using fridrich.

The problem is that I can't see a way to solve a Rubenking cube corners and edges first.

Just pretend, that your centers are already solved and continue with the edge pairing.
