What was wrong with what everyone else said about forgetting the edges, and solving corners like a 3x3..

^ This ^

Akuma, if you needed him to give you the actual algs...you'll have a hard time convincing me you actually know how to solve a 3x3x3...those are the exact same algs you would use on a 3x3x3...

What was wrong with what everyone else said about forgetting the edges, and solving corners like a 3x3..

It's more like finally somebody who just gave him an answer instead of him doing research on his own.

he didn't even need to do research for the corners...

I think he didn't understand that corners on 4x4 are the exact same as corners on 3x3. So maybe he didn't read well. I guess that kind of makes sense for someone new to 4x4; I mean it's a different puzzle, so why wouldn't solving it be different?

That only works if he knows how to solve a 3x3, which people have started to question. Although, he did already mention he can solve via Reduction...which makes no sense how he won't know OCLL cases if he can solve the 4x4 via some method.

How do I solve this case?

This algorithm I just made might be the solution to your case (although I cannot be sure since I cannot see which way the corners are twisted):
x' Uw' l'2 R U R' u D R U' R' D' u' l'2 Uw x (16q/14h)

4x4x4 edge problem

Hi.

First off, I am not sure how to describe the problem so I am not really sure how to search for it in case a solution is already posted.

I have an edge problem on a 4x4x4 and wanted to know if you could help with an easy algorithm to fix it.

My orientation is that the blue face is up with white on the left and yellow on the right.

Everything is solved except for the 2 edges.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Trigar7

Assuming you entered the stickers correctly, it seems you have both OLL and PLL parity at the same time. The Orange/Blue and Red/Blue dedges are swapped, as you see, but also the Orange/Blue dedge is flipped incorrectly. Both of these situations require a special algorithm unique to the 4 x 4, which can be found easily in any written guide.

For the PLL parity, you need an algorithm which will swap two opposite edges. This is a widely-used one, and swaps FU and UB-

r2 U2 r2 Uw2 r2 u2

I actually use a pretty bad OLL parity algorithm myself. You probably want to memorize one like this- Rw U2 x Rw U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Lw U2 Rw' U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Rw'
