I know Ortega, but I'm slow, cause you have to rotate to solve the last step a lot. Very annoying. Is there a way around this?

If you have a diag or solved first layer, you don't need to rotate. If you have a bar, always solve it into the same place and learn algs from that angle.

Chris Olson (shout out) explains this well in this very old video. Look around the 2:10 mark.

An example is if I have a t-perm on the bottom and the top is solved, or I have 2 bars on the back.

Like 6 or 7 max. Unless you have double sexy in there it should be less than that.

Some other cases may be annoying and take more moves, like 10. If the alg doesn't fit for you, find another one
