[Help Thread] 2x2 Discussion

how do i improve my recognition for CLL?
I average low 3s and believe that is holding me back quite a lot. I predict AUF a lot and my layer is done mostly efficiently and quickly.

I'm learning CLL, just learned the H and Pi sets and plan to leave sune and antisune until last. What order should I learn U, T, and L?

In the order u stated. U , T, L. U recog is very similar to H and Pi, and so is T. With L,its hard to get used to because you habe to recognize some opposite colours. Watching chris' recognition videos will help though. Why learn S and AS last? I think I learned H, Pi, U, AS, S, L.

CLL recog is holding u back? So you mean it takes you a while one-look or you 2 look and pause? At low-3 whats holding u back is TPS and method. Either get 8+ tps (hard) or just learn eg1. I know u know im slower than u (high 3) but I remember someone saying you should learn EG once CLL is holding you back from sub 3 (I think it was cameron's cubing world vid).

I'll learn EG-1 then, but I won't learn them as quick as CLL, I think I learned it in less than a week or so.
I tried rushing learning the algs before but I lost interest in it and pretty much forgot all the algorithms for eg 1

I tried eg1, learned 1-2 sets, but since they only have a 1/2 in 7 chance of occuring (if the layer is adjacent), I forgot all but 1 alg. I think u shud learn as fast as you can so you have all of them and can just do solves to drill them into ur memory.

Don't rush it, just learn it at a consistent pace so you don't forget any.

But if you learn slowly, u dont use them as often in solves. This might not be true for everyone, but this makes me forfet them. (unless u wanna force urself to use adjacent layers and ortegs the ones you dont know)

I am going to try to use the 3-sticker recognition system for sune cases and I haven't yet figured how I'm going to apply this to the antisunes, as one of the stickers I need to recognize would be on the back.

Also, if L recognition is harder to get used to, wouldn't it be a better idea to learn it sooner rather than later so you'd have more time to get used to it while learning CLLs with easier recognition?

Also, I am using the algdb.net CLL pages, Chris Olson's videos, and Rowe Hessler's videos, and picking the best alg I find out of all those. Is that enough sources or are there others I should be using?

Looking at a back sticker isn't great, just use another angle to recognise all 3 stickers in one go.

Chris' and Jay's websites are good, as well as both of their videos.
There is a chance Rowe's vid will have outdated algs.
