One-Answer WCA Competition and Regulations Question Thread

That is probably correct. Keep in mind that:
1. I believe multiBLD doesn't show averages. I know Kit Clement has a multiBLD "average", but it doesn't show up there for Oregon.
2. CubingUSA accounts are optional. Many USA competitors don't have them, and only those with CubingUSA accounts will show up in state records. So the state records are not truly complete.
3. I'm sure there are lots more competitors from California than from Colorado.
Thanks I was wondering but didn’t explicitly ask if the WCA records were directly tied to the CubingUSA ones and it sounds like they aren’t. So the WCA stops tracking records at the national level then it seems. Is that correct?

is cubingUSA still our best/ most comprehensive option for looking up state records then?

Yes. Or else they'd have to do the same for other "divided" countried like Canada, the UK, Australia and more.

Yup. They're the official SRs

Competitions are organized by local cubers, not the WCA. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there are currently any delegates who regularly work in Syria, your best bet is to contact a few people on this list and find someone who is willing to work with you to organize a competition. Good luck! I hope you can get a competition organized!

Wich person is the best ? Of this list
One that's reasonably close to you. Looking at the list and a map, there are delegates in Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Israel. I don't personally know any of those individuals, but contacting any or all of them would be a good place to start. As far as I know there isn't a set timeframe when they have to get back to you. Delegating isn't generally a full time job, it's a side gig. If they do agree to help you you'll still need to do a lot of work arranging for a venue, setting up, taking down, answering people's questions, etc. In general people become delegates because they care about cubing and want to see other people enjoy it, not because delegating benefits them in any way. Be sure to be thankful for any help you do get.

Do I have to pay money for that ?
I'm just 13 years old and I dont wanna get into a trouble :rolleyes:
Sometimes. Be sure to communicate well with whatever delegate you end up working with. There will often be a charge to use a facility, but sometimes there are facilities you can use for free. Most of the competitions I have organized have been at my church, which as long as I leave it in the same condition I found it and am not using the competition to make money I can use for free. Any costs incurred by the organizers and delegates are usually covered by registration fees.

U mean when people register to the competition I will get money back ?
Generally the delegate can help you with funds as long as it doesn’t cost too much. And if there are a lot of people who sign up and go, you’ll know that it‘s a good idea to make more competitions, because you’ll be able to make your money back each time.

Hummmm I'm not gonna pay from my pocket money , I'm gonna ask my parents of course
Before doing anything, wait for an answer from the delegate. If he isn't willing to help, I'm sure he'll at least tell you how to do it yourself.
