Is there a way to do (RU) until solved without regripping?

actually there is a way

if you position both the tumbs on the left bottom 2 adjacent edges and use your index finger(pointing,1st finger)
of both the hands to perform RU'RU'.... without regrip
YOu will still end up solving the cube faster than RURU......
:p

Finger tricks?

I don't really get what finger tricks are.
Are they just really fast algorithms? Fast cube movements? I don't understand.
BTW plz don't tell me I'm lazy, i already looked it up and none of the google results helped a bit.

C'mon! That's the 500th time someone ticked me off with that smart alecky invention!

LOL well, you said you couldn't find anything by googling it and i thought that I could, so i tried it and I found useful stuff.

but to be serious, finger tricks are when you use fingers to turn the layers quickly rather than your entire hand.
more finger tricks = less regripping of the cube = faster.

WOW... ALL THIS TIME I'VE BEEN DOING FINGER TRICKS AND DIDN'T REALIZE IT.
WOW.
*FACEPALMS*

haha okay so looking back, were the google results actually exactly what you were looking for?
and you were just accidentally expecting something that didn't exist?

yeah i was expecting this crazy thing that where you turn like 5 fingers at once to solve an algorithm.

How to fingertrick Pi OLL? R U2 R2' U' R2 U' R2' U2 R

R U2 R2' U' R2 U' R2' U2 R

I currently use

f (R U R' U') f F (R U R' U') F'

cause I can't figure out how to fingertrick the standard alg

R U2 R2' U' R2 U' R2' U2 R

I currently use

f (R U R' U') f F (R U R' U') F'

cause I can't figure out how to fingertrick the standard alg

I'm not a particularly advanced cuber but here are my fingertricks (obligatory apology for the vertical video; my method of filming wasn't very optimal):

lefty U2 is hard for me but lately I've been forcing myself to do it, same way I learned D2, D' with left hand and M2

pretty sure once I get lefty U2 down i'll be much more effective in solves

Lefty U2 is SOO useful, you wont regret it.

Really work on lefty U2 (technically U2'). I am still improving it for 2x2 - 4x4, and it really does help prevent regrips through the whole solving stage. Also, g through your alg sets and see what you you can add a U2' to (like G(d?) perm and MMAP's 4x4 parity alg). It really helps.

A-Perm Then AUF

Is it possible to go from an A-Perm to doing a cube rotation to do a a U or U' to fix the last AUF? I have gotten more pissed about this than when I get pissed about a pop while foot solving. Please comment on your finger position for this finger trick, it will help me keep my sanity.

How to turn the sides of cube?

Hi,
I am 17 years and have been using a dayan zhanchi for a couple of months. Every day
I have been practicing 45 minutes or more. I can solve it layer by layer and fridrich method in about 1-2 minutes.
What I would like to know, those speedcubers like zemdegs and others. What fingers would they use if they would have to turn the back side of the cube?
When I hold the cube, I use my left hand to turn the left side, my right hand to turn the right side. I use my index fingers to turn the top(up side0, but what fingers do you use to turn the front
or the back side quickly?

I believe most people, including me, use their index and thumb to turn the front depending on which direction it is going. For the back I personally use my ring finger but I'm sure that other people use their little finger as well. Hope it helped and good luck with your practice! :)
