[Help Thread] What should I learn next?

Well that is my best ever... so it should be a ways down from my average average.
Plus, by Global average I mean what times I can confidently say that I will meet.
Of Course there are some days when I am just "on" and average low 11s the whole time, and some when I am "off" and average high 12s.
In fact, here is the spreadsheet that has those 5 solves and the date if you want:
Cubing PBs
Just go to the 3x3 row and follow it the whole way to the right.
No I mean it's really close to your global. like I average 9.5ish but my pb Ao5 is 7.9ish something though I use roux which is meant to be more consistent than CFOP as well.

Ohhh, I thought you meant that it was too far away from my global average lol!
Well, I'm not sure why I haven't gotten a better average yet... I mean 11 second averages are pretty common for me but sub 11 only happens like once in 40 averages maybe.
My current Ao1000 is like 12.46 seconds but it is always decreasing so... idk.

Oh, and I have heard some people discussing about not learning the sune and antisune COLL cases.
Where they just playing around, or is it better to not learn COLL for those cases?

So I finished full PLL and 2-look OLL, and so I don't know if I should continue learning OLL or start F2L first. Which one of the two would you recommend?

F2L for sure, with good oll you can drop a second or two from two look oll. From f2l you can drop 10 seconds from beginners

I am a sub 50 cfop using beginner F2l, and 4 LLL. I want to learn a new alg set. COLL, PLL, advanced f2l? I can learn 1 alg a day if it is easy to recognize. I would like to know why, where to learn this. If I need to do anything, at all, please say something (like do a move count, time f2l or whatever.) Thank you VERY much!

At the time that you are at you should learn intuitive f2l. If you just work on f2l, you can get sub 20 with 4lll

I have learnt 3-look last layer, with full pll, but small amounts of oll. I dont feel like learning all 50 algorithims of oll, so what should I learn to break sub-17?

Practice F2L and lookahead! Also make sure you're doing near-optimal crosses every time. Cross can always be solved in 8 moves or less, so if you're doing more than ~9-10, it's something you should work on.

I believe sub 20 and 17 is very much achievable without needing to learn heaps of new algs, it's more or less just picking up good habits. Efficiency is key - make sure all your F2L cases are optimal. Make sure you utilise inspection to the fullest extent - plan out the entire cross and maybe an X-Cross/first pair if the cross solution is easy. Also, drill the algs you do know - both on recognition and execution so that LL is as smooth as possible.

Hello,
I'm new to speedcubing and I don't know what to "main". I began with 2x2 because I wanted to break the NR but when I got my 3x3 I just started to pick it up more and more. I started to learn F2L and will be practicing it to get better at recognition and how to do it properly.
My question is: should I spend most of my time trying to just learn CLL on the 2x2 or practicing the 3x3 F2L and learn some CLL on the 2x2 on the side?
I know it all comes down to my preference but I'd like to hear your opinions on this.
Thanks in advance :D

It depend on what you enjoy more. I would probably say 3x3 F2l. This will help with understand the cube. I would learn CLL on the side as well. Learning 40 algs is tricky to do quickly as a beginner ( that’s why I haven’t finished CLL), so I would recommend learning mabye a few a week. Then practice some 2x2 to make sure you remember in a solve. But whatever works best for you, and more importantly what you enjoy more!

I enjoy solving it. Mainly breaking my PB's and really get fast but in order to do that, I have to learn the algs and stuff first. I got really bored of CLL because it has a lot of algorithms, but I'll try to do as you said. Practice F2L and learn CLL on the side and solve the 2x2 to not lose the hang of it. Thanks :D

No problem, I did the same thing as you with learning CLL. I learned like 7 cases then got into 3x3 and forgot them. But if you dont like learning CLL stop.
