I think your steps are pretty balanced. I think what you need to work on is fluidity. Your solves look a little choppy, and to fix it easily, just do slow solves only for a week.

I guess the obvious answer would just be that practice makes it faster, but I noticed that the Dots case (E2 M' E2 M) can also be solved by (M2 U2 M' U2)2, which is pretty fast as well. Is there a reason people don't use that isntead? It seems slightly more reliable.

E2 M E2 M' is faster for sure. The only reason to be using an MU alg is to cancel into before you insert LR edges.

and that E2 M E2 M' takes a regrip
I do E2 M' E2 M without a regrip. My technique is:
E2 like right handed U2 blocking U layer with left index
M' like R' r
E2 same as before
M like R r'

Flows pretty nice without pause after MUs, though I tend to lock up sometimes

Note: I use Kirjava's fingertricks for LSE, so left ring & pinky for Ms, left index for U', right index & middle for U and U2

Eww that's slow. Try doing it the diagonal rotation way. I can sub 0.5 it easily and 0.7 ish with the "regrip" GuRoux keeps talking about.

Long time since I last practised Roux (and I'm a complete patzer with it) but that's the way I found easier and faster, putting the cube somewhat diagonal and doing the E2 with ring and middle flick like it was M (I use left for that) and doing the M' and M with the other hand.

Could someone try how fast can it be done like this... (U D') (U D') M' (U D') (U D') M' ...compared to other ways? not that I like it much, but it doesn't need a regrip for me.
