Congrats. Take 30-40 seconds to fully plan first block. Sometimes i still have trouble planning it out in 15 seconds because i try to inspect 4 blocks. As for how i inspect it, i just see the first pair and the edge that make up the first square and know exactly how to execute in. Then i find the last two pieces of the first block and predict where they end up and what case i need to pair them up. If i have time, i find some second block pieces and try not to mess up any solved second block edges while tracking corners.
O yeah i forgot. I know everyone says this, but TURN SLOW. Even if your movecount isnt the best, your look ahead with slow turning can get you down to 17-18 seconds. 1.5-2 tps on blocks and lse should be slow enough, but cmll you can just spam through. Do you know all 42 cases yet? If yes then good. If, no, start working on it.

OMGERD 2nd sub 20 :DDDD
1st one was just a scramble I randomly did, but this one was generate from my timer. 19.37 :3
I feel like my flaws are in the first block.
When you guys plot your first block (have bad memory so can only plot my first square and have trouble sometimes) do you make an algorithm in your head to solve it or do you just picture the movements in your head?
Also how if you use either do you look-ahead into your 2nd block, do you just track a pair?

i visualize the solution. sometimes i track the DR edge of the second block just to help with first to second block transition. usually, by the time i insert the DR edge, i'll know at least where 3 out of 4 of the other second block cubies are and in what orientation.

I turned really slow while doing the blocks but with the algs I went slightly faster and got my second sub 20, I sometimes get antsy with inspection so overcompensate with fast turning but REALLY messes up my solves when I do some stuff really quick, then pause, then do another thing, then pause for longer, and it ends up with my solve being REALLY choppy and o yeah, I have memorized more than half of the CMLL algs I have all Sune, Anti-Sune, H, and now a little rusty on Pi/Dead Guy gonna start on T tomorrow then bowtie and its U and I'm done.

New pb
Ty Penguins and GuRoux
Just got a sub-20 17.27
My reaction but it was an ok Ao5 for me-24.22
I would've had another sub 20 too but messed up dots case and fingers slipped on cube :(

Sub 17 :D
15.91
+ new pb Ao5 20.01
Turning nice and slow helped a lot plus the first block was really smooth, i just plotted the first square and my okay look ahead helped from there.
f2b-~8
CMLL~2
EO~2
4b+c~2
Pauses- 12.5%
EDIT: CMLL was F(RUR'U')F' case, when that or most Sune cases happen, I know its a good solve :tu

Nice solve! That's about what my average solve breakdown is! Other than the f2b. Mine is 7ish. Keep going! Sub 20 ur almost there!

Well you will always have an even number of edges oriented correctly. thus if you see an even number of oriented edges you know the one in the back is mis-oriented and if you see an odd number of oriented edges then you know the one in the back is good.

True, and all the splits he has add up to 14 seconds, so that would mean about 2 seconds for pauses (12.5%)
A lot less pauses then my reg solves 98% less at least for me

I had a few questions regarding Roux that I'm a bit confused about.

1) Are the LSE solved completely intuitively or completely algorithmically?
2) If they are solved using only algorithms, where is the list of LSE algs and how many total cases are there?
3a) If they are solved intuitively, what's a good video tutorial that explains the basics of LSE?
3b) How would one solve the case shown below using intuition? What would be the intuitive train of thought and approach to solve it?

Intuitively

No algorithms are used. And, there are 400+ cases.
3a) If they are solved intuitively, what's a good video tutorial that explains the basics of LSE?
Waffle, Alex(5BLD) both have LSE tutorials on their channels.

Ive been doing DeeDubb's basic cmll and would like to "upgrade" but I dont know if i should do waffo's basic cmll or just go straight to full cmll? and either way, what are your approaches to learning a new bunch of algs? do you just go down the list? or do some cases show up more frequently?

So you know 2-Look CMLL?
I learned by gathering them up and finding the most comfortable for me and ones I could do quickest.
Most I learned from Waffo and LubixCube.com
For me I just memorized each set, so yeah, and there is a slight difference in the percentages in the appearence of cases but it doesn't mean it won't show up at all in a solve

I think deedubbs basic cmll is 2 algs: repeat nillas for cp and repeat sune for co.

You should definitely learn 2 look cmll first. Its only 9 algs, and 3 of them are almost the same (f sexy f', f 2 sexy f', f 3sexy f'). Sune and antisune are mirror, so basically its just 6 unique algs.
