Triple posting but I have a question;
Someone suggested to me recently that doing 2 bad edges at a time is not a good method of approach? I never bothered making sure I was doing 2 flips that cancelled into 4 flips, and I never both recognizing if I have 6 bad edges either. In either case I just immediately find 2, and lookahead for another 2. It's actually kind of rare that in the case of 4 I'll do something like (R U' R') (R' F' R). You only save one or two moves at best? Does anyone here actually recognize 6 bad edges and just place the solved edge and do one of those fancy 6 flips? If so, what do you average?
