How do you set up a Dayan 2x2, my does not pop but people on YouTube said that it will enhance its performance by switching the core or springs, but I have no idea which spring set....... Aolong springs, Guanlong springs, huanlong springs, thunderclap springs???
I've tried lot's of ways to set up a Dayan, and the only way that came out decent was heavy lube (weight 4,5, or traxxas) on the core and tracks with a couple drops of maru. But I still think that most 2x2s are better than the Dayan (WeiPo, YueHun, LingPo, and TangPo) but that's my opinion... anyway if you want to make your dayan good-ish just do what I said above...

Hello, I bought 2 Guansu yesterday. Both turn great at first, but 1 of them started locking up on one layer and it was really annoying. Basically, it was stuck until I use my whole hand to turn it.
I disassembled a part of the problematic cube, and it turns out that the center pieces didn't fit into the inner center piece. It was only 1 spot but after reassembling it still didn't turn as well as the other Guansu.
So what can I do to fix it?

I saw someone say in a video, "The Thunderclap doesn't have washers like most cubes nowadays". but mine has washers..... I don't understand.

Actually I believe the very first batch didn't have any washers. I have two, one of them from the first batch and the other I got later. The one from the second batch does have washers but the older one doesn't.

Hi everyone,

I had a question : there are two types of internal edges in a 4x4x4, in my case, a GuanSu.
IF I glue the smaller internal pieces to the larger internal edge, what will happen? Will it posses a problem in assembling or something? I always had that question. Why are those pieces separate anyway?

Why isn't there just one big internal piece?

Thanks {in advance}

If you glue them together the puzzle won't work. They are separate for a reason.

Just study the structure and try some moves with some external pieces removed, and you will see how it works and what the internal pieces are for.

My Gans Air occasionally starts scratching like there are a couple of bone-dry patches that just keep rubbing up against each-other. Is anyone else getting something like this?

I don't have a gans air so idk but clean/tension/lube etc. Or maybe that's the feel of the cube, kinda like how thunderclap is really clicky.

My question:
My aolong v2's center cap is really lose and occasionally pops mid-solve. What should I do? Is it legal to put some sort of adhesive to keep it on?

Do I need a 3.5mm to 1.5mm cable to connect stackmat timer to computer
OR
3.5mm to 2.5mm cable???
PLS HELP!!! I have no idea where to get these things.

As long as it's not clearly visible from the outside, it's fine. I recommend putting a two tiny drops of contact adhesive or something similar - one on each side. it should be just enough to glue the cap on, but little enough that the bond will break if you apply a bit of force. This lets you take the cap off later if you need to adjust tensions.

Honestly I prefer doing the paper trick instead; cut a small square of paper about the same size as the center piece, and put it on top of the center then put the cap on it, it should stay very well.

I have been working on a project for quite some time, but it was put on hold due to some numerous stuff (married, job promotion, more responsibility, etc.) I am wanting to get back into it and finish the whole thing, but I need to know what are the speedcubes that everyone is using or wanting to get and why. Any info would be appreciated.

The three biggest cubes right now are the Weilong GTS, Gans Air, and the Valk 3. They're at the top of the market in terms of performance and they're probably also popular in part because they're used by Lucas, Feliks, and Mats respectively.

One thing that's really gaining popularity right now is magnetic cubes, which (for 3x3) are really only available from TheCubicle.us right now. They're not exactly spreading like wildfire at the moment due to their high price, but I suspect a lot of people now will be getting Valk Ms because of Mats Valk's recent WR.

Nice! That actually gives me a lot to look over. I'm very impressed with the line of cubes that are coming out. My latest cube I purchased was about a year or two ago and it was the FangShi Shuang Ren II. I'm interested in purchasing some more to add to my collection.
