The aolong requires a lot of breaking in to be fast, it was slow when I first got mine but after a few months of fine-tuning my tensioning (the tops of my screws are level with the cylinder they are in maybe yours is a bit tight?) and breaking in. Putting lube in it slows down the breaking in process i usually don't lube a cube until i can clearly see the rounded lines on the flat surfaces on the inside. Its probably slow because you put too much in or because its simply weight 2... if you want speed you should be using weight 1 the only thing i use my weight 2 for is to make non-wca puzzles smoother and to lower lack of a better word, amount-of-force-it-takes-to-start-a-turn. (not the same as how easy it glides once it starts turning which is assume is what you mean by speed)

wut. I use weight 2 for all my other cubes and it works amazing. I even use weight 5 on my weilong (a ton of it) and its super fast and that's why I like the weilong more.

my point was weight 1 is thinner which means less turning resitstance and will give you better results.

I didn't say weight 2 was bad I just said "I" (not "you should only") use weight 2 for non speed puzzles. if i worry about a puzzles speed i make it go as fast as it can go. It seemed silly to me to complain about the speed of a puzzle when there were still things you could do to make it go faster, like using a lighter lube and loosing it. If its both unstable and im using weight 1 then i will probably feel the need to complain otherwise id make sure id done all i could to make it fast. I also didn't say that the aolong was faster or slower than any cube idk why you even mentioned the weilong

Cubicle.us says that their Fangshi 54.6 stickers are the same size as the Moyu Aolong's. Can anyone who has bought it confirm? And does the sticker feel different (in feel and color)? Btw, it's a aolong v1.

My Calvin's Square-1 arrived earlier this month, and it was quite poor quality. I thought I'd give it a few days to break in, but it's still horrible.
The bottom layer (white) keeps catching on the centre "rails".
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Cubetwist master race. Its a really good cube.

I accidentally made a thread about this issue (like a noob) but ill post it to the right place now:

Does cubesmith still deliver orders as of 2013? Their website's copyright is still at the year 2013, have they just not updated it?
Pardon my ignorance and impatience.

I ordered from them last summer and they sent the stuff.

how does one stop the springy noise on a few sides of my cube, and also how do I improve the corner cutting (it was really great, but the tensions were a bit uneven and when I tried to fix it, the corner cutting got worse :( )

lube the hardware (the springs and screws). to make corner cutting better slightly tighten/loosen the tensions until they are perfect.

I know this question has been asked before, but I can't find a satisfactory answer to it.

After disassembling my Aosu, tensioning it, and reassembling it, two of the three inner layers started catching on something, and I can't figure out what the problem is or a solution.

Any help would be much appreciated.
