the boss of moyu sent me a black aolong(i had told him that i wanted a white...)
last week i received this aolong
the sense of revolving of aolong is soft.some of chinese cubers don't like the feeling, including me.the price is a little expensive for chinese cubers lol
it's said that the boss chen would produce a batch of new version aolong.hope that it could be better :)

你拿的是评测版吗?你上贴吧不?用户名啥?听陈老板说加垫片就没那么软了?

holyco you might want to put a bit of lube and loosen the tension. Mine hasn't done that since I have gotten it but that might just be my style of turning and moving the cube. I would recommend Lubix lube which 9.99 for the smallest size. Though the price is high it has great quality and it has never let me down. After breaking it in, you may decide you don't need lube because it turns REALLY fast after you break it in equal to the speed of a lubix zhanchi.

Thoughts on the puzzle:
This cube is fantastic. Mine was a little loose out of the box the stock lube was thin. It had that sandy feeling at first, but after cleaning, relubing and tensioning, it feels normal. I think my Zhanchi has finally been dethroned. It's extremely fast and very stable. Corner cutting exceeds 45 degrees, and reverse corner cutting is almost line to line. I'm not a very fast cuber so I have some trouble controlling it, at first... but that's getting easier every day. I've already broken all of my PB averages with it. I had mildly frequent corner twists as first, but after lubing and tightening it, they are rare.

This wouldn't be a great beginner cube, but more experienced cubers will likely love it.

I really hope they make a mini version of this so I can use it for OH!

I have had the cube for a few days now. My first thought on when I got it:
-Looks real beautifull due to well rounded stickers and pieces.
-Too fast
-Flimsy
-Awesome corner cutting
-Corner twist in the first 5 solves.

Then after tightening and lubing it to make it slower and a few hundred solves:
-It starts to feel more like a Weilong
-It is better controllable
-Broke most of my PB's
-This cube is awesome

It is right up there with the Weilong V2. I do not know which one is better ;)

thanks, but I have tried a variety of tensions n it the problem persists:/ however besides that this is an insanely good cube:)

Where I bought mine: TheCubicle.us

First Impressions: I like mine out of the box. It has the scratchy AoSu feel that everyone talks about. I'll lube everything when I get home. Right now, it feels a little catchy when I'm solving. I'm hoping lube takes care of that. Also, one side is creaky, but lube will handle that. I'm going to go very easy on the lube. My Weilong gets super gummy if I slightly overlube, and I feel the same thing will happen to this one. It's a weighty cube just like the Weilong, and the speed is nice. More to follow after I lube and do an Ao100.

EDIT:

I lightly lubed and tensioned the cube, and it feels great. Not as silky smooth as my Lubix Weilong v1, but very good. It also feels quite stable even at loose tensions. The pieces feel rounded a bit on the outside (is this what people call "bubbly"?). It has the same mechanism as the weilong which makes popping non-existent. I did an Ao100 to help break it in, and it's getting better. I had some solid solves, but I wasn't really "in the zone" so I didn't break my PB, but I got pretty close. This is going to be my new main over the Weilong, but I might switch back and forth sometimes, because they are both great.

Now that the Aolong is broken in what are the differences between your Weilong v1 and the Aolong?

When I go back to a Weilong V1 or 2 I seem to run into troubles because these cubes require accurate turning. The AoLong can be used with very sloppy turning style (that I have). In other words, after getting used to the AoLong you will never go back to any other cube :)
