I have no idea if this is my fault or not, but I've been experiencing some pretty awful problem with my Moyu Aosu's centercaps. I bought the cube and it felt really nice, however, when I tried to solve the cube a few times, the centers would come off very easily (not my fault, came like this out of the box). This forced me to use tape and paper to try and keep the caps down, but when I pulled one out, I noticed that it was broken. Even worse, now I can't put the cap back in, rendering my Aosu useless in only two days.

I don't think I've seen anyone else with this problem.. Could it have been my fault for the cap breaking, or is Moyu to blame?

Oh, I bought this from The Cubicle by the way, though I doubt they had anything to do with the faulty cube.. c:

Aosus have no centre caps.

Uh.. Might have worded that wrong.. .-. Basically, there are the center pieces with the little hooks and a cap that goes on it. The cap has small nubs on it that get inserted to the other half to make one center piece.

contact them about your problem with your order information perhaps they can supply replacement center pieces

also your aosu might've been too loose

Hmm.. It felt pretty tight at stock tensions and I didn't move too far away from them when retensioning.. Oh well.. Thanks though, I guess it's worth a shot informing them about the situation..

no matter how tight or how loose I set the screws on my jieyun, when I pull it slightly it is crazy loose, it catches and is locky and pops, and corner twists easily, but the turning isn't that inhibited, my suspicion is crooked screws..but what's wrong with it exactly and is there any way I can fix it? (I just received replacement parts from the cubicle)

You might need to disassemble the cube and check if the screws actually properly go in and out the core or not when you screw/unscrew them and if the screw is firmly attached to the core. If that's not the case you might need a new core and, maybe, also a new set of screws.

I suggest taking it apart completely and look at the screws [emoji14] that seems like the most sensible thing to do.

3x3 Cube Keeps Becoming Unsolvable!

Hello,
I've have my Rubik's Cube for about 3 months now and just recently lubed it. Every since I lubed it for some reason the pieces are going out of place and making it unsolvable. I don't know if I should just get another Rubik's cube and lube, if there's a way to fix it, or buy a speed cube. I don't think I need a "speed" cube exactly I can only solve in 38-45 seconds on average. Maybe if someone could just link me to a cube that is suitable for me if I can't fix my current Rubik's Cube and shouldn't buy another.

Is my Cyclone Boys G4 Broken?

I got a Cyclone Boys G4 from The Cubicle but for some reason when i try to do wide r and l turns on two of the three axis I have to force the puzzle in order to make it turn. The middle layers on these layers also need a lot of force to turn. I can hear grinding inside the puzzle but when I took it apart and put it back together there were no misalignemnts, and yet the problem persisted.
Has anyone had this problem, or can someone advise me on how to go about fixing it?

Lingpo Catching problems

I recently got my Lingpo and broke it in and lubed it. After I finished lubing and tensioning it whenever i turn it the corner pieces scratch up against the center pieces and the screws and gives it a weird feeling while turning if anyone knows how to fix it pls help me

If your lingpo's screws are sticking up so much that the corners catch on them, then your tensions are looser than they need to be. Try tightening them slightly until the catching goes away.

I've tried loosening then and tightening them and I've taken it apart and out of back together but it still had the same catching problem

I just got an Aolong V2, and it turns like a champ but there's something weird about it. Are the corner pieces supposed to have a little play in them? They can wiggle a little bit in place, but the centers and edges are sturdy. It makes it so the corners will make little "clacking" sounds as I handle the cube. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the movement though so I was wondering if this is normal with the Aolong?

Well, unless you have ridiculously tight tensions, all cubes corners should have a little bit of movement. If it still turns fine I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Everyone
I recently bought my first brand new Dayan Zhanchi 3x3 from a supplier on E-Bay. When I received the cube within the first few seconds of play it popped. I re-assembled the cube and a few minutes later it popped again. After numerous pops I approached google, Youtube and the Speedsolving forum for assistance. This lead me to videos and instruction on correct tentsioning and lubing of my Zhanchi. I managed to lube and tension the cube to a point where it would not pop anymore but the cube felt way to stiff. But when I loosened it up just a bit it would pop again. I wrote this off to me just being inexperienced and maybe just to rough with my finger moves. But then 2 days ago I received another identical Zhanchi I ordered from a different supplier through E-bay. Now this cube felt as loose and smooth as the first one, but it does not pop at all. I have played with it quite a bit and to this point I have not had one pop. No issues what so ever. This feels more like what I expected the Zhanchi to bee.

My Question is this: Was the first one I got just a dud, or is it possible that there are fake/knock-off Zhanchi cubes out there?
has anyone else had a similar experience to this?

I actually think that what you described is completely normal for a Zhanchi. Those cubes feel pretty awful if they aren't broken in. After you break it in, you can tighten the tensions after lubing to reduce popping.

Slightly rattley corner pieces are completely normal for an AoLong V2.

yeah that happened with my aolong as well when i first got it. it doesnt affect performance but its kinda weird. Also, it went away after tensioning and lubing.

Megaminx Help

Hi,
I am having a problem.
my Dayan megaminx is having problems.
Whenever I twist a side a lot, it automatically loosens the screw so the screw falls out.
Would taking out the washer help????
