My Gans 357 is very slow. I dont if I have a defective one or not. I have tensioned it and lubed it and it is still very sluggish and it pops and corner-twists very often
. I checked the core, and springs, cleaned them out, relubed and it still is slow.

I think you might want to try and upgrade the core to this core http://thecubicle.us/gans-core-hardware-p-4439.html or this core http://thecubicle.us/gans-core-hardware-p-2823.html if your cube came with the older v1 core.

Hi, I just got a DIY (unstickered) Guanlong kit from TheCubicle, just to try it and to avoid the hassle of removing the stickers (I wanted to replace them by FF stickers with my own shades) and out of the box the cube was just horrible, like worse than original Rubik's cube horrible. It came with no lube at all. Is it normal for these unstickered cubes to not come lubed?

Anyway, the question is that I disassembled it to lube it and one of the center pieces came without the spring. I have had more expensive Moyu's missing one or two washers but... without a spring??? Has this happened to anyone? Also, do you know if the Moyu 57mm hardware set will be okay for a Guanlong? As it is more like a 56mm cube, right? I fear the washers will not fit and / or the screws being too long.

I'm asking thecubicle for a replacement, but if I have to pay for the hw set + shipping, what should have been a cheap cube is gonna end up being an expensive one and a pain in the ... while I wait for the hw set to arrive.

The Moyu washer set fits fine, I don't know about the hardware tho.

Guanlongs don't come with washers to reduce cost. As for the missing spring part, thecubicle might send you a completely new one for free since it's defective. I haven't had this issue but their customer service is good so if it is really messed up they should help you. Also, as a quick tip, don't lube guanlong pieces. I have one unlubed that works really well for my speed as a sub 30 zz solver, but my other one turned really gummy and slow even after a bit of lube, which was too slow even when I was only sub 45.

Thank you both for the feedback. I have contacted TheCubicle and asked for a free spare part. If not I guess I will have to risk getting a full set of Moyu hardware with washers, screws and springs. It would be just $1 if it wasn't for the shipping...

Regarding lubing, I don't know how the fully assembled & stickered Guanlongs come but this DIY kit, which comes fully assembled but just unstickered came with absolutely no lube and even on the faces with spring it turned like absolute crap, like less than 20º corner cutting (it was also a bit tight), so I'm afraid it needs some lubing of the pieces (and the core). You probably think they don't need lube because the stickered ones already come lubed from the store, I assume.

Hualong popping

I just bought a new hualong from the cubicle.us and it just won't stop popping, is there anything I can do to stop it?

My Hualong is very loose but does not pop. The Hualongs anti-popping mech is great. I do t see why you need to tighten it too much. I'd break it in with accurate turning and see where that gets you.

scratches and lines on my weilong on contact us points

inside my cube where the pieces contact each other, there are little grooves lines due to turning the puzzle offcourse. is this part of breaking in or does this slow down the puzzle? when I run my first her nails on it I can feel the bumps. only slightly.

This is breaking in and lack of lubrication. Totally natural but you might want to put some lube there

normal on all cubes, place lube over all those friction areas.

Mine popped rarely, but when it did it was 3 pieces flying. My solution was using cx3 soft springs and tightening to the point where the centers simply won't allow me to pull 3 pieces out. It sounds weird but the setting seems to be right for me and it hasn't popped since. I use the same springs and setting on my aolong v2 with great results.

If your settings aren't that loose svc it's still popping I would take it apart and check for imperfections out plastic left over from the molds. On medium too tight tensions it really shouldn't pop.

Cheers

I got lube in my cube. I just wondering these scratches aren't deep I can feel them. I I guess it's normal. I've had the cube for 5 months.

Cyclone Boys Alignment Issues

So I got my Cyclone Boys 4x4 G4 from thecubicle.us a few days ago, and now, it's starting to have alignment issues. The core misaligns from the pieces somehow time to time. What should I do?

P.S. I posted this in the wrong forum, so someone move it please?
