I don't know, but let's play a game, which of the following is a way the WCA uses to determine the results of a competitor? How come these guy's are accurate and all these "0.3" aren't?
A. Stackmat Timers
B. Framecounting
If you answered A, you are correct. At the end of the day, the result you get from frame counting does not matter, it's instead the thing that shows up on your stackamt timer. In Sid's case, the timer showed 0.26, so that's his result.
You think that frame counting would be a more accurate way of timing sprint events like 2x2, skewb, pyra, etc? That's a valid opinion to have, perhaps you could ask the WCA to implement frame counting. But until the WCA implements framecounting as their way of timing people, (as mentioned before, not only does the WCA not frame count, they don't even use frame by frame to judge +2s and stuff https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/incidents/50) there should be no reason to do it for at home attempts, if you want everything to be as official as possible, how bout using the official way to time attempts, which is the stackmat timer, which is the final say in the result a competitor got.
