CMLL and the last six edges can easily be named and described, the first block can be seen during inspection and the moves can be described to the solver before he does it.

Right, I was dealing with bloc building. That bring us to :

The only tricky step may be the second block. However, with normal notation and the push/pull descriptions - along with anything else you may want to make up for it, I can see a nice system really easily implemented.

I doubt you can find as nice as team blind cuber already have for fridrich. Or if you can, it will be more complex than straightforward stupid cases translation. That make roux less usable in team blind.

Anyway, can you say a bit more about push/pull descriptions ?

The idea is similar to what some people do for F2L in team BLD, you can use f.i. push = R U' R' and pull = R U R'. So you can make similar notations for all the common second block fingertricks, and then describe what to do rather than the position itself.

Roux FB help

ive been attempting to improve my First block times, and have seen none....

i just did an average of five:

Statistics for 01-13-2010 15:22:14

Cubes Solved: 5/5

(1.88+2.43+1.61+1.41+1.31)/5 = 1.728

a bit more info:

ive been practicing my FB (almost solely) for about 3-4 days. when i plan it out completly i dont exceed 10 moves. My problem is being able to figure out what to do in those fifteen seconds, and then execution. I dont know how to improve.

and my tps sucks hard...

any suggestions on building techniques, how to improve tps etc..

I just did MB for your scrambles, here are my results (no warm up). I love my C now.

1. (y' x2) R' r' (y) U r' u [1.65]
3.03 TPS

2. (y) L B2 R2 u' R u' R u [3.70]
2.162 TPS

3. (x y') R' U r' U R' D2 f D [2.75]
2.90 TPS

4. (y2 z) r' B' U R2 D' r u' r u [2.92]
3.08219178 TPS

5. (x' y') U' l2 U2 L2 D' U R u' r' u' R' u [4.93]
2.434...

Fixed block colour helped my times, also, Matt's Block likes these scrambles.

Average Number of Turns: 8.3
Average Time: 3.123
Average Turns Per Second: 2.668...

My first block is extremely slow, but the way I am improving is planning all the moves in my head then doing it blind. This means when i do a solve it means I can do the block whilst looking at where the pieces for second block are going, might not speed you up on first one bu will help improve overall time cuz your ready to go on the second block no hesitation. Good luck anyway :-)

Or you could do a cross. ;)

hmm i might try and start memorizing the entire FB or at least knowing where the pieces of the last pair are....

i used to do this and it was easy i dont know what happened D:

Or you could do a cross. ;)

NO
roux = F2B >:O

1. xy' U' R2 D U2 F' U' x' U2 R2 U' (3.09 :3 cause i suck)
2. y'xy' F D B x U R' U' M' L U' (2.88 cause i once again suck)
3. z' D2 U' R U R' U' (1.35 too easy)
4. z U' R U' M' B U' M U' M2 U' (2.70 i do not know iam a cat)
5. zx2 r2' F' R' U M2 U (2.00 decent i guess)

okish i guess (bad cube is bad)

also the cube rotations might be wrong because i suck at those

What I do is I form a "cross" of two correct opposite edges and two non-middle layer edges. I then solve the four F2L slots. This works for me. About 14 seconds on average:

Half-cross: ~1.5 secs
Other two edges: ~2 secs.
F2L slots: the rest.

It makes sense. With vague subsets to do and the number of varieties of F2L and Roux, you can bridge them in this way. For most people, however, this would be slow. I like it, though, since I can maintain a good average for my faiol Rouxing.

Tell me what you think. It'll get me by.

to jms gears 1: keep pratising , and you will find better solution for every scrambles i think
to minigoings: your fb is fast
to big green: your fb is even fast ...

Average: 3.02

1. 3.72
2. 2.97
3. 1.70
4. 3.28
5. 3.44

Need Roux help

Ok I've switched to the roux method from fridrich, went from 32 s avg to approx 40-45 sec . avg. I need help mostly on doing the LL corners I currently use fridrich oll for the corners (lol) and I've heard of cmll but idk what it means. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thx :)
