I mean that I would rather turn faster and not stop than be 3/4 moves more efficient but have pauses.
I see, thanks. Just got another opinion by pm saying that as well.
I love being efficient so I wish I could go the Alex Lau route and do both speed and efficiency, but I'll settle for speed for now.

Hey guys, PenguinsDontFly is the fastest active rouxer as of right now, and he has a pretty decent youtube channel! It would be great to have one youcuber be a rouxcuber, and get a little more representation. Im subscribing!

Update: just discovered the advanced roux techniques video with exactly the topics I was wondering about, awesome.

like I said, PDF is a good youcuber, and he posts the kind of stuff a youcuber posts, he just needs subscribers. Im subbed, who else is?
@PDF I mean, you can subscribe to yourself or something, youre that awesome.
The legend has spoken.

@Shiv3r thank you so much!
given the fact that you are the second fastest rouxer talking about the first fastest rouxer??? huh... cool.

Haha thank you so much, honestly! This is too much

Sorry for posting again, but I think this is worthy. I recently found a somewhat different way of recognising the 4c 3 cycle cases involving looking for a unique piece and determining whether FU and BU are the same or opposite. I uploaded a video explaining it and I think many of you will benefit from watching it. Enjoy!

This is pretty clever and cool, thanks for sharing :D Glad I learned this early on.

That helped me too. I figured out something additional today, that makes the flow much better and doesn't require FU, so you can see what to do before you finish placing ULUR.

While placing ULUR, track what will be BU (as before), and before actually placing it, compare it to F center and FD:

1. If BU will be the same color as F center AND FD:
Cancel into the U2 and bring it to F to complete the line.

2. If BU will be the opposite color of F center BUT same color as FD:
Do M2 U2 right after placing ULUR.

3. If BU will be the opposite color of FD:
FU and BU will be the same. Check out which of UF and UB will be a dot (different color than U center), and push that one up with M (for UB) or M' (for UF) right after placing ULUR.

Let me know if it makes sense...
