The L6E orientation position with one dot at top and one at bottom often keeps repeating when using M'U'M (or M'UM').

Usually I put them directly opposite, but am looking for a better way so they don't keep repeating.

I have a tip for people trying to streamline LSE UL and UR edges (the UL and UR in my example are the green and blue, Ik they aren't actually UL and UR). Try to make your UL and UR only take 4-7 moves MAXIMUM. In the case I show with my pictures, instead of doing
M' U2 M' do M U2 M'. It might be an obscure tip but it has saved me a lot of time, and I wanted to share.

OH, I average 29ish
FB: 7-8
SB: 8-9
CMLL: 5
LSE: 8

I also pretty much don't pause cause my tps is just over half my normal.

What should I work on most?

dont do OH yet. get better at 3x3 and do it later. I didnt start OH until I was sub 10 and I think starting OH early is a waste of time.

Nah, helps with efficiency.

I've sort of been doing it since I spent a week at~21 so got bored and did some. I think the improved efficiency and lookahead really helped me break that barrier as well as the time off like how 4x4 and Mega brought me to the cusp of sub-15 which is well inside my expectations for year 1 (I was expecting ~20).

Also, it's fun. I still haven't done a comp with 3x3 so I think I'll have to do a fair few events to convince myself.

ok, do it if you want. I would say work on first block and LSE, those are pretty easy to improve. Also second block is pretty easy too, just take advantage of <r,R,U> stuffs and dont do many M moves. CMLL is impossible OH

In the last step of LSE, how do you know which direction the pair is on the bottom?

what?

if you're talking about how to recognize a 4C 3-cycle, you dont look at the bottom. You look ahead and predict BU sticker so you have information of BU, UB, UF, FU, and FD which is enough to tell the case.

At the last step, 4c, how can I tell what the bottom pair direction is without looking at the bottom?

Is this possible by seeing the static position, or must it be determined by look ahead, and either way, how is this done?

Lookahead usually, or the BU recognition method. Which is pretty much lookahead.

Anyway, point is, after a time you'll just know which case it is without having to think so just keep solving and your brain will work it out by itself

Okay, sounds great. Thank you!

How would you solve this, and your comments please.

U' M U' M' U' M' U M U M U M' ~ scramble

M'UM' U' MU'M U2M U2M U2M2 U' U2M2U2 M U2M2M2 M' / 32

I'm following the guides, but 32 turns for LSE seems like way too many.

M' U M' U' M U M'// Eo
(U2 M' U2 M U')// UL UR
M2// L4E
Just try not to double up moves so much. Also, you can pair and solve UL and UR simultaneously (see the moves in brackets) in this or similar cases.
