I am talking about this case. I would make the red/green pair using R' F R F'.
MR U2 M' U' R'
EDIT: Oh... never mind... that is the wrong situation... to solve, M U2 r2 U r

F moves could be useful for this case, though I probably wouldn't pair up pieces with sledgehammer since it's not intuitive for me. I might do either of these:I am talking about this case. I would make the red/green pair using R' F R F'.
what?
ok, this time i promise that this one solves the correct square: U2 r M' U' R' U r U' R'.
I have recently been practising LSE specifically. I read this thread and followed an advice of 3 look LSE i.e. inspect and then solve EO blindly followed by UL/UR and Last 4 edges.
Here are my 10 example solves, can you guys please review or advice regarding them. The step where I most struggle while planning is step 4b where I have to trace my movements before execution.
1. U2 M2 U M' U M2 U' M' U' M2 U2 M2 U2 M2 U M' U2 M' U2 M2 U' M U' M2 U'
EO: M’ U’ M2 (M’ U M’) U2 (M’ U M’)
UL/UR: U2 M’ U2 M M2 U
L4E: M2 U2 M2 U2 E2 M E2 M’
2. M' U' M2 U' M U2 M2 U M2 U' M U2 M2 U2 M2 U2 M2 U M U M' U2 M2 U2 M'
EO: (M’ U M’) U’ (M U’ M)
UL/UR: U M2 U M2 U’
L4E: U2 M U2 M’
3. U' M' U' M U M U' M U2 M2 U2 M U2 M U' M U2 M2 U M2 U2 M2 U2 M' U'
EO: U’ M2 (M’ U M’) U2 (M’ U M’)
UL/UR: M U2 M’ U’ M2 U’
L4E: M U2 M U2 M2
4. U M' U M U M2 U M' U2 M2 U M2 U2 M U2 M U' M U2 M U' M2 U M' U
EO: U (M’ U M’) U (M U’ M)
UL/UR: U M’ U2 M U’ M2 U’
L4E: Skip
5. U' M' U2 M U' M2 U M' U' M2 U' M U2 M2 U2 M U2 M2 U2 M2 U' M U M2 U'
EO: Skip
UL/UR: U2 M U2 M’ U’ M2 U’
L4E: U2 M2 U2 M2
6. M U M2 U' M2 U' M U2 M' U2 M' U M' U' M U2 M' U' M U2 M2 U' M2 U M
EO: M’ M2 (M’ U M’) U2 (M’ U M’)
UL/UR: U M2 U2 M2 U’
L4E: U2 M’ U2 M’
7. M' U M U' M' U' M U2 M2 U2 M2 U' M' U2 M' U2 M U M2 U2 M2 U' M2 U2 M
EO: U’ (M’ U M’) U (M U’ M)
UL/UR: U U’ (to peak BU edge) M2 U’ M U2 M’ U2 M2 U’
L4E: M2 U2 M2 U2 E2 M’ E2 M
8. M2 U2 M U2 M' U' M' U2 M' U M' U2 M' U M' U' M2 U2 M' U' M2 U2 M' U M
EO: M2 M’ U M U’ (M’ U M’)
UL/UR: U M’ U2 M U M2 U’
L4E: U2 M’ U2 M’
9. M U M' U M' U' M2 U2 M' U M U2 M' U M U2 M U2 M2 U' M U' M2 U2 M'
EO: (M’ U M’) U (M U’ M)
UL/UR: U M2 U’
M2 U2 M’ U2 M’
10. U' M' U2 M' U' M' U2 M2 U M U' M' U' M2 U2 M U' M' U' M2 U' M U2 M' U2
EO: (M’ U M’) U M U’ (M’ U M’)
UL/UR: M2 U M’ U2 M U2 M2 U
L4E: M U2 M’ U2
PS. This is my first post.
Your first scramble: why do you do m2u2m2u2 plus dot case where tou can do M'U2M2U2M? Also you can work a lil bit on cancellations i think. If you already don't you can try to one look your edge orientation, that's useful.
Thanks, I was unaware of this. Regarding cancellation, I cycle Moo (M' U M') and Moo' (M U' M) since I am aware of what state it will reach next. In that case when EO is finished, at times I realize last M slice could have been cancelled. However cycling is fast. Is it worth it to think about cancellation since in that case I probably have to think at every step what turn to make.
Also what is one look edge orientation ?
Pardon me if I was being inarticulate.
1. eo: U' M U' M' U' M'
3. eo: M U' M U' M' U' M'
10. UL/UR: M2 U M U2 M' U' (make sure you get this concept down for UL/UR)
i just picked out a couple of eo and UL/UR that seemed longish, another tip is to change the last move of you eo to help UL/UR, for example: your #10 solution ends eo with M', then start UL/UR with M2, M' M2 = M, #3 is a similar but more complex case. I think it looks like that you L4E is perfect, look into solving eo and UL/UR for efficiently as well as the transition between those steps.
know that for MOO all these algs work: M' (U or U') (M' or M), and sme idea for Moo'
one look edge orientation is the ability to solve eo in one look. take an eo case, study it for a second, close your eyes, can you solve it?
This is exactly what I am practising right now. I use (M' U M') and (M U' M) only. On Alex site it was mentioned as Moo and Moo'.
Judging by what you said, I think I can one look EO as of now but I do not affect edges for next step except for 6-flip case where I apply the algorithm.
Hii,
New roux user here,
I just switched from CFOP yesterday, I was averaging 14.xy on CFOP
I have some questions
1) Is improvement in roux faster than improvement in CFOP?
2) How to master LSE? Any specific things to keep in mind? A good video for fingertricks during LSE?
3) For someone aiming consistent sub 9, what is the optimal time for completing F2B
4) Can I know which is the best available list of CMLLs please
5) Is it benificial to try and make the first block in fewest moves possible, or is it more beneficial to compromise on moves and focus on fingertrick friendly first block? Further, What is the best way to continue towards the second block?
Thank you, help appreciated
