i currently gave up trying to incorporate yellow on bottom... for now. just got a 9.75 average of 50, so that might be a hint of slow improvement. i know you want me to stall, i remember you posted on the goals thread to surpass ryan and then me. and for ryan you might have a chance, but you of all people know penguins don't fly while gurus are rumored to hover.

First off, yellow on bottom is hard to get used to, but y colour neutral is easier because its the same pairs in different orders and locations.
Second, I dont want you to stall. Why would you think that? I posted my goals of being faster than you and ryan, bu that doesnt mean I want you both to stop improving. The more you guys improve, the harder I have to work to beat you, and the harder you work to prevent that from happening. Friendly competition is fun and beneficial. Also, 2 more future sub 10 roux solvers in me and ryan might encourage more people to use the method, and develop it further.
Lastly, nice pun. My name is a hockey thing.

just kidding around. anyway, i tried a little y neutrality but F2B was weird and 4b was frustrating. for x2, LSE is the same speed for me and F2B is just as fast if i can stop myself from seeing so much white. i think my second block is about 2.5 seconds slower with x2 at the moments. everything else is just about equal in speed.

I got my 2x2 about a week ago (lel) seriously I don't know, i was watching cyothekings videos, I predict my bar and stuff but am a noob. I use ortega and such.
The comp was awesome, i was shy but opened myself up and met a lot of cool people who were interested because they never saw anyone "good" with Roux in any other comps aside from Youtube. Waiting for 2x2 was pretty quick, for 3x3 it was a lot longer and I got a little antsy in between solves, cuz there was like 3 other Adams in the comp and whenever they called it I stood up 3/4s of the time to realize it wasn't me. My 17 felt amazing in comp. The other competitors were cool guys, I chatted with almost all of them whilst sitting down, the competition was rough but I loved it. The cubicle.us stand was also pretty great, I talked with asmallkitten about ZZ OH and watched him compete for OH and talked with a cool guy too, he was a really cool guy, I ordered a Mini Zanchi for OH and 57mm Weilong for when I'm sub 20. Phil lubed the pieces and gave out free logos :)
Naw, you're still more experienced than me in cubing even though I went to a comp, hope to see you in one, not gonna go to one for some time though, want to see my times drop.

Watch out people

Nice to know I'm seen as a potential sub 10 solver :)

I've been playing around with roux lately and I've had trouble with a certain case on the second block.
It's when the edge and corners are in place but the corner is twisted (sort of like F2L 39 and 40 on the wiki). The 'CFOP' way of inserting (take out the pair and then solve it) is fast but inefficient. Any better solutions for this case?

There is no way to solve it without taking it out.

You'll get used to it. Just force yourself to do an ao 100 with red and orange. X2 is hard once white filtering.takes place. Lse looks weird because you see a lot of different colours lol.

Hope to see you too. Not too far away. There are still no comps in my area...

Why wouldnt you be? U seem to be at 11 seconds. Killing that pause before sb will get you to mid 10s, then just turn faster and lookahead. I still have a little work to do on lse. Im mid 13s, I can get to low 12s by the end of christmas break, and low 12s puts me only one month behind you (1s difference between ur ao 12s posted 1 month apart). Also, we all know I improve very quickly, so 1 month plus christmas break may take me to 10.5. We never know. Thanksgiving took me from barely sub 20 to easily sub 17.

I shall make a mad dash for sub-20 during Christmas break
Probably and avg100 every day.
I vow to surpass Alex Lau! In most likely 10 years.

Just curious, what are the chances that after the F2B, that the cross is also complete?

probably around 1 in 450.

Guess or fact? For me it seems to happen quite often, like 1 in 100. Are there any organized last slot systems that influence permutation instead of orientation? I remember from previous posts someone mentioning using WV for roux, but that would give a pretty bad cmll case. Permutation skip however could be very useful, with 1 in 4 chance of every roux solver's favourite case (2 in 8: skip and FRUR'U'F'). This would also make it easier to learn more algs per case to influence lse.
