On a side note, is it just me or is Yunzhi Lian’s 4.27 average getting an insane amount of mainstream media attention? Her record was mentioned by major news outlets like The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC news, ABC news. Hope this happens more often, this was just only FWR/WR4.

Well idk abt you guys, cuz the cubing community is barely talked abt here
The only times ive heard my relatives talk abt cubers (with the exception me ofc) is a 2 year old relative

It could be both FR and FL ZBLS, since that is pretty commonly learnt among the Chinese ZB solvers. Which adds about another 300 algs to the 800 that FR ZBLS and ZBLL is, bringing the total to just about 1,100 algs. So this is very likely where they are getting the number, if they did any research, or they could be copying other news sites that said it first. But I would strongly believe that any of the Chinese ZB kids know at least a good chunk of ZBLS from at least 2 slots.

Big cubes? No.

3x3? In the world, for sure. His dad told me that 3 years ago at Nats and then he went out and won Worlds, lol. In the US? Yeah. He's been surpassed by other people but he's still capable of winning any comp in the US.
