Yes, it seems to be dead. A pity, because I really liked that site.Is iwca.jp dead? That used to have them but it's not working for me.
A quick googling brought up thisI'm just wondering if it's hard to get into WCA competitions or easy because y'know they only have roughly around 100 per competition. I live in Australia and I am aware that the only one available is the Cube for Cambodia event, which is full. But it seems to get full pretty fast, so is it hard to get into competitions? Like, do you have to sign up the day it's announced or do you have a week or two? Also how long does it take to make a WCA competitions?
Also is there any non-WCA competitions in Australia or any websites that list competitions?
Thanks!
Cool, thanksA quick googling brought up this
In general (at least in the uk) you have about a week or maybe slightly more though it's usually a good idea to sign up as soon as you can to guarantee a place.
Something recently changed with the WCA database export and most tools like this are currently broken. You could bother the person who runs the website, but the only immediate solution might be to manually search the WCA exports.about the scrambles, wcadb.net has all scrambles since 2014 i think
I think the WC 2017 is planned to have 5 rounds of 3x3. It would be great if someone more qualified could confirm this.Just something I've been curious about regulation 9m. Why is 4 rounds considered the maximum number of rounds? And why don't we allow more? I know that a 5th round would most likely require a lot of competitors, (at least 300 competitors would be a good lower bound), and would take more time. But, if a competition had the competitors, time, and many competitors were willing to have 5 rounds of an event, why not allow it? Maybe an article could be added that says something like:
An event that has more than 4 rounds must be approved by the WCA Board before the competition is announced.
Now I don't really mind about the max round number being 4, but I was just wondering if there was a specific reason as to why it's like this?
According to the schedule on their website it's 4 rounds.I think the WC 2017 is planned to have 5 rounds of 3x3. It would be great if someone more qualified could confirm this.
I could just take the chain offIf it has a chain no.
I could just take the chain off
But then the piece that had the chain would be different from the rest.
I could just resticker it so that the new stickers would cover up the holesBut then the piece that had the chain would be different from the rest.
It's up to the delegate.
It doesn't provide significant advantage, IMO. You can barely feel the difference, and a set of chipped stickers would not be much different.
