One-Answer WCA Competition and Regulations Question Thread

2e) Competitors must represent a country of which they hold citizenship. The WCA Delegate should verify citizenship by means of documents (e.g. a passport) at their first competition.
2e++) ADDITION The WCA Delegate should also verify the name and date of birth by means of documents (e.g. a passport) of every new competitor at their first competition.

should = recommended but may be reasons not to

I dont think you really need to write it in cursive. Whenever I sign something usually just write my name.

according to google

You can just write your initials. That’s what I do. It doesn’t have to be a full signature. It’s just to sign off on it to say I looked at the times the judge wrote and they are the correct times. Also make sure you check the judge’s handwriting!! If something is not legible or clear, ask them to rewrite it. I’ve had a solve get entered incorrectly because a judge had bad handwriting.

Ok, thanks, do you have any other tips or things I should watch out for?

why the result of Bay Area Speedcubin' 29 PM 2022 still not uploaded yet ? is this because of Max controversial WR average?

if i posted on wrong board , please move to correct board, dont delete this thread please.

What should my average be to compete in a cubing competition?
My dad keeps encouraging me to compete in a local competition, however I only know a little bit of 2-look PLL and OLL. I also have an average of about 30-35 seconds. I really wanna go since there's almost no competitions near me. Should I participate or wait until another competition near me opens? Thanks.

Go to one as soon as you can! You don't have to be super fast, competitions are so much fun even if you aren't.
