Make my CFOP more Roux-y

I guess you can just go here and ctrl-F "M".

I think stuff crosses over from CFOP to Roux easier, rather than the other way around, as there is more freedom in Roux. When you try to take stuff from the F2B to F2L, you usually end up messing the F2L up.

thanks. I looked at the links you mentioned, and they definitely helped. Any other tips you might have would be appreciated!

Just use as much M slice stuff as you can. There are lots of sweet M slice F2L tricks that I tend to use. Also obvs all of the M slice EPLLs... and wide moves during cross or something.

I dunno. Invent a new method yey.

What kind of tricks? Do you mind sharing a few?

Just remembered that TellerWest's channel has a lot of what you are looking for. I forgot to mention it in my previous post. Also, check out "expert F2L" on youtube.

Also, random alg: rU'r'UrUr' (or x'RU'R'FRUR'x for the back slot) can be used for inserting pairs without a rotation. I usually just rotate, but it might be useful for the back slots sometimes.

thanks! Another set of helpful links and information. You've helped me a ton.

I should mention that I spent the weekend with Cube Explorer trying to find algorithms of my own. But unfortunately, it does NOT generate algs that make use of r or r' etc. You can generate algs that use the M-slice. But I have found that a lot of the M-slice algs for F2L inserts occur in conjunction with the use of r or r'. So it's unfortunate that Cube Explorer can't generate those. If anyone knows of another program or perhaps something I'm overlooking within Cube Explorer, please let me know.
