NATHANAEL'S PROGRESSION THREAD, GOING FOR SUB 20 ON 3X3, sub-5 on 2x2 and more

I recently learned F2L and I wanna get some tips to achieve sub 20 average

FEEL FREE TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST (NOT TOO BRUTAL) AND SHARE WHATEVER TIPS YOU HAVE 😁
you need to learn Full PLL then full OLL and yes I know this will require allot of effort but don't worry
about needing to learn lookahead yet because I average in between 13 and 18 seconds and I don't know
lookahead yet but I am considering to learn it, if your a more experienced cuber than me and your wandering
how dose he average that time or that doesn't add up then my TPS it around 9-10 that might explain it.

I know full PLL and 2-Look OLL. Maybe I should clarify what I mean by I "learned" F2L. What I mean is that I learned pairing up edges and corners and then inserting them. Also, I am working on my look ahead and am considering learning multislotting. Is that what you thought I meant or did you think that I have only learned up to the second layer? Sorry, I find it hard to write clearly 🤦‍♂️

Hi. How fast do you average?
If you are only going for sub 20 don't worry about look ahead yet. At your level, you should be working on being comfortable with recognising every f2l case. If you start looking ahead not you may find it harder to improve. In solves now even you see a pair, you SHOULD turn as fast as you can to solve it and don't worry about your solves being really choppy. I'd recommend only starting look ahead when you average 18.
Also definitely don't start learning multislotting as you need to become comfortable with the basic/intuitive f2l solutions. I'd say that most people who even decide to do a bit on multislotting, average about 10.
Good luck in your improvement

In answer to you question, I average about 25-27 seconds. How about you? Also, do you have any idea how online competition results on speedsolving.com are verified? Cuz, there's no way of knowing whether those results are even true...

I average 12-13. I don't really do the weekly competitions but it is basically just requiring people to be honest

NEW 2x2 PB SINGLE! 2.18 seconds. (NO VIDEO) (F' U R' U' R' F' R2 F U2, White top, Green front)
Solution: x' y' x' U R U' R' U R U' R' F R U' R' U' R U R' F'.
I did Orange layer and then did the L case and got a PBL skip. So basically I did CLL on accident 🤣.

NEW 3x3 OH PB SINGLE: 25.38. Will release video on YouTube, Saturday. I'll do a typed reconstruction if you guys want me to.

New 2x2 PB single...again. But it was a misscramble.

1.75 Scramble: F R' F' U2 F2 R' U' F' U'

What I actually did: F' R' F' U2 F2 R' U' F' U'

My solution: R U' R' U' R U R' F' U'.

Should I count it or should I not. Let me know.
