I've been using my Gan 11 M pro a lot lately and I've noticed that there's been a lot of white residue accumulating on the core and insides of the pieces. I'm worried that maybe it's miniscule pieces of the plastic breaking off of the cube. Should I be concerned about it or is it normal?

My GAN 11 M Pro magnetic stick fell out of it's socket spontaneously. I was able to put it back but it didn't feel secure so I just removed all of them.

My sheng shou square 2 just fall apart after I have tightened the tension as the screw is turning around with the cube. Is that called stripping? How can I fix that?
That means it's stripped.
Other Sq1 have this problem, so I assume Shengshou uses a plastic nut here.
Cut a strip of printer paper(or other paper, just not the thick drawing kind) that is about 3-5 mm wide(1/8" to 3/16" about). I'd recommend 5.
Then you back up the screw completely
Put that strip of paper through the nut hole
And carefully insert the screw again.
The paper both gives new meat to tap new threads into and also makes the hole just slightly off-center, making the screw press in the threads in the nut(like maing new threads, but following the existing one).
That is called Paper Modding, and is more common in Europe since Qiyi used imperial hardware back then.

If you are handy, you could theoretically check screw diameter, thread pitch and outer flat dimension and buy a nylock nut later to replace this one, but only if you know how to go about this.

Thanks a lot!!
I have just done the paper modding on my sheng shou square 2 and it works well now.

My Moyu Meilong M 2x2 keeps poping. when i say pop, i mean entire cube falls apart. i don't know what's happening, it feels very rough, and im currently taking the entire cube apart (core and all) i will update, and if you guys have sugestions let me know. also, the cube feels sandy and rough even though ive lubed it

core asemlbeld, tensions even i hope its cause i put it together wrong i really liked the cube

Lets go! it feels really nice :]

Is one ore more of the screws pulling out of the core? That would mean the core is stripped, meaning the screw threads in the core are damaged and no longer hold the screw firmly in place, and it just keeps pulling out. It's a metal screw going into plastic, so the core getting stripped can happen.

SpeedCubeReview has a simple fix for stripped cores -
Just depends on how bad yours is stripped, if this fix will work or not.

Hello. I have a tornado v3 pioneer and it is missing one of the piece to piece magnets on the green side of the white green orange corner. There is just a hole there. Is this normal?
Thanks!

My yj mgc 6x6 have fast and smooth first and second layers, but the inner layer sucks. The turning of the inner layer feels heavy, sluggish and not as easy to turn as the first 2 layers. Is the yj mgc 6x6 a dud?

So what happened to this cube is that in the end it slowed down a lot. Now it's a worthless hunk of plastic. A similar slow feeling is gradually increasing in my V3 and I'm getting really upset that I'm spending all this money on cubes that break in 3 months. I'm considering quitting cubing unless someone can tell me how to fix this issue.

Have you been properly cleaning and lubing your cubes every so often?

I don't get why it happens so much. I mean, I've only popped my 3x3 once, and I've been cubing for over a year now (if you don't count the 3 years only doing the 2x2)

Please help.
