Easy / Lucky / Hard / Weird scrambles Thread

U L' R2 U2 B R2 D2 F' L2 B2 D2 R2 L U B2 R' U F D2

I got my new pb with this (unfortunately?). I said I wouldn’t learn ZBLL until I got under 50 seconds earlier today (for reference I was averaging around 1 min 25 seconds, I just switched to learning zb method). I got 41 seconds on this… (but I had already broken 50 with one other solve). Btw I have never ever gone under 1 min ever before today.
I don't think you should try learning ZBLL until at least sub 10 or sub 8
Idk tho. I'm only sub 20

I have a really bad cube and I have a hand disability, so I can’t turn fast. Also I don’t care about speed so much, but this is really fast for me. Learning the ZBLL is not so I can be really fast, it’s so I can be faster and anyway learning full ZBLL would be a big accomplishment for me. I don’t think sub ten would be possible for me (or anyone with my cube).

You can learn algorithms at any point of your cubing journey, but it’s recommended to learn around sub-8 once you’ve mastered the fundamentals and gotten good at cross+ 1, lookahead/recognition, and finger tricks.

Read my post above that. I can’t do fingertricks on my cube, it has way too much resistance for proper turning, is more of a wrist turning cube. Also, as I have said, I have a disability, and that also prohibits me from 1. gripping the cube correctly, and 2. makes fingertricks impossible with either hand. Still good advice in general V01DL0RD and Garf, it just doesn’t apply well for my situation.

Then I'd recommend getting a cube that suits your needs. You mentioned you had a hand disorder that makes turning harder as well. Some light cube such as a Moyu Weilong v10 (the spring 20 magnet ball core costs only 30 dollars) or some all out puzzles like the GAN 15.

I don’t really care about how fast I am, just about being faster. Even though the cube is 30 dollars, I don’t really need to get a new cube. I just cube at home for fun, and I kinda like pushing myself to the limits of what I can do with a bad cube. While it would make my times faster, I don’t really care about how I stack up to other people. It would just be a waste to me. Cubing isn’t a sport for me.

don’t you want your cubing experience to be more enjoyable? I suggest getting a magnetic budget cube like the RS3M V5 standard just so that it would be easier to turn. just a suggestion

This was a pretty nice free-pair scramble
Scramble: R2 D2 B U2 L2 B' L2 F' R2 B R B R' D R' D F2 U B'
y2 // inspection
M2 B' D R' D' // cross
y' U R U R' U' L' U L // first + second pairs?!?!
U2 L U' L' U L U' L' // third pair
y R' F R F' R U' R' U R U' R' U2 R U' R' // F2L finished
U R U2 R2 U' R U' R' U2 F R F' // OLL
U' R2 U R' U R' U' R U' R2 U' D R' U R D' U2 // PLL
67 moves in total but really easy to execute (mostly 2-gen).
