Do you use intuitive F2L?

Do you use intuitive F2L or do you memorize algorithms for F2L?

I learned F2L by memorizing algs for all cases, but eventually they started to make sense on an intuitive level and I didn't view them as algs anymore. I still try to search for algs for interesting empty slot cases or for faster ways to flip an F2L edge already in its correct location, etc.. So I now use a mix. Most all of the standard 41 cases are intuitive for me now, but I use additional "algs" for some hard/interesting cases. But even for those I try to understand, at least to an extent, how they work on some intuitive level.

I use intuitive F2L. Let's see I began to mess with a cube 2.5 months ago... first solved it about 2 months ago and began learning F2L about 1 month ago. So far everything is coming along great. My best is 28 seconds and best average of 5 is 36. Hopefully I can get to learning OLL and PLL this week since there is no school.

By the way, can anyone change my name on here? I feel like an *******. Brandon sounds like a good name. (It actually is my name)

I use intuitive with a mix of certain cases. Maybe one or two?

How long does it take you guys to solve using the type of F2L??On Average or PB?

I've seen so many posts about R U R' U' x3, though i prefer to use Joël's algorithm, U2 z F' R U' R' U R' F for that case. I basically use intuituve F2L, although when I tried learning algs for the hard cases, I found that either my intuitive way of solvin the case was the same, took the same number of moves, or was better, although I solve each case the same way each time it occurs, say if the same case occurred twice on the first and 3rd pair, I solve it the same way, except for maybe the angle.

Rofl, thats great. I would just make another account really.

I use intuitive F2L, but they've gotten as easy as algorithms. I voted for the mix of intuitive and algorithms, but I only memorized about eight algs. I figured out commonly used algs for the other cases intuitively. I figured them out by going very slow in practice and finding the most efficient way to insert a pair. This is the best way to get fast a F2L.
