My F2L is good, I can do some OLL look ahead, I know almost every EPLL algorithm, but I don't know OCLL or CPLL so I will learn those. Also what is the difference between OCLL and COLL?I see that you have a hard time prioritizing algorithms since you have started to learn SO MANY ALGORITHMS. Here is what I recommend:
For 3x3, make sure you can do 4 Look Last Layer (Orienting the edges, OCLL (Orientating corners of last layer, you confused this with COLL, which is the Corner Orientation of last layer), CPLL, EPLL) Then learn PLL as you are getting good with F2L and becoming better in your intuitive solutions. Also, while you are learning OLL, you should be working on look-ahead.
Once you are quite faster, start learning more advanced F2L tricks and learn how to predict the first pair.
The naming strat was very bad, but OCLL is solving all the corners, only. COLL is when you solve corners for OLL and PLL (so you will get only an EPLL if you use full COLL).My F2L is good, I can do some OLL look ahead, I know almost every EPLL algorithm, but I don't know OCLL or CPLL so I will learn those. I am confused. What is OCLL + CPLL + EPLL and why should I use it instead of COLL + EPLL?The naming strat was very bad, but OCLL is solving all the corners, only. COLL is when you solve corners for OLL and PLL (so you will get only an EPLL if you use full COLL).
It is very confusing. Here is it put a bit more simply:I am confused. What is OCLL + CPLL + EPLL and why should I use it instead of COLL + EPLL?
Basically, OCLL orients the corners for OLL, CPLL solves the corners for PLL, and EPLL solves the remaining edges for PLL. 2 Look Last Layer is a good way to start understanding what OLL and PLL do.I am confused. What is OCLL + CPLL + EPLL and why should I use it instead of COLL + EPLL?
It is very confusing. Here is it put a bit more simply:
OCLL is the last step of 2-look OLL
CPLL+EPLL=2 look PLL
COLL is too advanced for where you are at, in my opinion. It doesn't cover all OLLs, unless you really look for algs, and it requires many more algs (around 5 per each edge-oreintated OLL). Does this make more sense? Let me know if it doesn't, because I'm trying to learn how to phrase this, too!
Where can I find algorithms for this?Basically, OCLL orients the corners for OLL, CPLL solves the corners for PLL, and EPLL solves the remaining edges for PLL. 2 Look Last Layer is a good way to start understanding what OLL and PLL do.
I agree with @Jake - Speedcuber. Do not learn COLL. It's really advanced, yet it only covers 7 oll - the cross cases. It's more beneficial to learn OLL, and even that you should learn PLL before OLL.
Incredible! 323 works magic!!2:28.27 4x4 PB single! I'm getting closer to averaging sub-3!
So it's just 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL? I was so confused because I have never heard anyone call them OCLL, CPLL, and EPLL.
I only know part of it, but it is fastIncredible! 323 works magic!!
I learned the 4x4 OLL Parity algorithm. Time to learn 5x5
Good to knowIt's the same algorithm except you use a 3Rw' one time instead of 2Rw'
