Thanks for completing the first 10 scrambles! Added to the database.

just saw some ridiculously efficient first layers in the 2X2 Example solve thread, but those are not that systematical for starters to find, so I decided to start this thread to help me and a lot of others out there.
Have you seen this? http://www.kungfoomanchu.com/guides/brooks-klise-2x2x2-fl.pdf
It's pretty helpful for learning FL.
But hey, I'll add some solutions.

13:
Scramble: F U2 R2 F2 U2 R' U' R' U

W: x y U' R U R' x' U2 F U' F2
Y: z' F U' R' U R'
O: y' x' F U' R2 U' R B2 R2

R: x' y' F U' R' U2 R'
G: F' U R U2 R' F2 R2
B: y2 R' U R2 U' R2

I'll add more later.

Oh, Wow! Is that all the cases or just the easier ones?

No, it doesn't include every case (that would be a lot of cases) but it has every case with a 1x1x2 solved so if you can solve a 1x1x2 in 1-2 moves you can just use one of those. It'd be cool to have a doc with every case in it, but I don't know how big it would be.

Sorry for the delay. Your solutions are added to the database and I'll put the PDF there as well(Yeah! That things kind of make this whole thread unworthy for LBL once and for all, but yeah, that is sooooooooooooooooo cool!!)

This shows all possible optimal faces or layers for all colors on any scramble you choose - http://cubegrass.appspot.com/2x2face/
I used it months prior to roughly calculate that optimal faces take 2.92 moves on average and optimal layers take a mere 3.92 moves.
Oh. My. God.

That’s the exact thing I wanted for months!
Would this tool be useful?
Or do you want human-found layers in this thread?
Of course that is useful!!!!!!!!!!! I am in speechless mode.

But here is the purpose of this thread: Although this program is suuuuupppppppeeeeerrrrrr useful, you can’t bring it on the stage with you. Also, it is so optimal that it may be.......kind of useless for this thread’s viewers(which are probably noobs with 9+ FL)

Just like most 3x3 solver online gives you an optimal solution which is completely useless to human speedcuber as an example solve since we can’t think so efficiently like a computer.

That is the reason why I put the contributor’s name after every scramble, so that if they found this solution interesting, they can PM them saying “Hey, how do you came up with that?” Leaving this thread more like a teacher database than a solution database.

So I still think human founded solution is essential.
