There’s not really a benefit to this and it’s kinda similar to an older ZZ variant.

By doing EOFB you lose out on some of the efficiency potential FB has. Then with the next step being to solve the DB DF line, you may as well just do EOLine - LB - bad CP then right block -2GLL or EOLine - RB - z rotation - bad cp stuff - RB2 - 2GLL.

The inspection is easier to just plan the EOLine instead of a block.

There’s also not really a reason to use this over the modern ZZ-D form of getting to EOF2L-1, CPLS which is just modified COLL recognition, 2GLL.

I’m not personally convinced 2Gen reduction is as good as people think for OH because you’re adding extra moves to force some of the longest ZBLLs, so your TPS has to be really high to compensate.

until the CP step this method is basically the same as squall.
CP isn't that bad since it is only like 5 moves. I agree that recognizing cases is difficult, but I believe a better recog method will be developed in the future.

I agree there are some long ZBLLs. But look on the bright side. You can get 7 move last layers. And even LL skips more often due to EO and CP being done previously in the solve. You could also force a lot of LL skips sometimes.
Honestly speaking, I did a session of 75 solves and I have got 1 normal last layer skips and 2-3 Forced last layer skips, which is pretty poggers because normally LL skips only happen 1 in 15552.

These are the reasons why I think this method is suitable for OH.

Last layer skips with solved cp a 1/324 but I wouldn't choose a method just based on rare occurences
Not as rare as other base metho
This is a ZZ variant called 2GR. It is generally considered as an inferior version of ZZ-D
This method reduces the number of pieces unsolved in the first step. Rather than solving eo line. One can plan eo square and then track the remaining pair of the fb while solving the square.
