One-Answer WCA Competition and Regulations Question Thread

I'd ask for video evidence that he really does better on 18 cm than a more reasonably-sized cube lol.
As a delegate, I'd just ask him to do a few turns. If he turns awkwardly and all his friends are giggling, i'll tell him to find a more suitable cube. If he's got a turning style that's adapted to the cube size that makes it look like he's practiced with that cube, I'll let them compete with it.

I've done this a few times with kids who've wanted to use weird size cubes for OH (mostly wanting to use big sails, which were all jokes, and once got a kid wanting to use a 40mm zhanchi, which turned out to be legit).

A few weeks ago, I signed up my friend for a competition, listing his country as USA. The competition already happened, and my friend wants to know if there is any way he can change his country in the WCA, as he was born in Kenya.
You have to ask a delegate to change your nationality.Try to get a hold of one.

**likely with significant parent help

It really depends on the person. I organized my first comp at 13, and I had little help from my parents. In fact, i don't think my mom even knew about it until I had basically finished planning it, and was ready to announce it... Not that I was trying to hide it from her, I just didn't think to tell her.
