YuXin 4x4

Hi, i don't know if this is the right place to ask, but a mod can move it if needed. I am having significant problems with my YuXin 4x4, I don't know if it is the tensions i have it set on (it does it tight or loose), or my turning style or what, but the edge pieces, when turning fast, catch on the center pieces, if that make sense, and causes small catches and such. i also get this: WIN_20160106_114050.JPG but this is probably just my turning. This is the biggest problem:WIN_20160106_114454.JPG The internal, piece, is slipping out between the centers, i have no clue how in the world this happens, but it results in the center and internal piece popping out (if the center didn't go, it'd be fine, but it does :/). So any suggestions would be great. BTW sorry for all the grammatical errors, I'm too lazy to correct them :p

It's probably cube dust or when you wear the cube down a bit or something similar. Just clean it out and relive and eventually it should go away.

I received a JieYun today. It's incredibly tight, and I want to loosen it - the only problem is that I think the caps work in the same way as ShuangRen caps, and require the cube to be at least partially disassembled for them to be removed.
The cube is too tight for me to take out any pieces, no matter how hard I try.

Any help?

Bump yet again, sorry! I'm not the only one with this problem, and neither of us can get it apart.

Heres something that I just came up with:

Take the top cap off of an edge piece and split the edge piece in half while still in the cube and stick a small screwdriver through the gap in the edge piece to pry the center cap off.

I managed to use the paperclip technique to get a cap off, then loosened it like crazy and now it's come apart completely yay

Unfortunately, if it's anything like the ShuangRen, taking the cap off is much easier with the edge piece already split. I can't manage to take it off with the cube assembled. :(

Nice one! Guess I'm alone then. What angle did you push the paperclip at? How did you manage to push it hard without it bending?

Edit: Just after posting this, I got it! Thanks everyone. The yellow cap was very slightly off when I got it, and I'm glad I didn't push it in even though it was annoying me. Fortunately it was looser than the others so came off more easily.

I recently got a Dayon Zhanchi and it is great right out of the box(except for the tension). Do I need to lube it right now?

Also I'm planing to get Cubicle Silicone Lube, but do I need to get 2 different weights or could I get Weight 3 and use it for both the pieces and the core?

Thanks.

Sanding?

I have recently bought a DaYan Guhong 2 and, although I am pleased with it, it doesn't cut corners very well. Is it a bad idea to try to sand it? I haven't sanded a cube before so...

You'll probably get better results just from adjusting the tensions and breaking it in. A properly broken in and tensioned Guhong has good corner cutting. If you sand the pieces down, you may increase the frequency of pops.

Do I increase the tension or...?

It depends. If you want it to turn more freely you loosen it though this may reduce the corner cutting and increase pops. Too tight may also cause a stiffer cube and also have worse corner cutting.

Just play around a bit and see if you can find a spot where there is good corner cutting and free turning without too may pops that you like.

Question about cube designation:
Is the ZhiSheng Unicorn 3x3x3 another designation for the Yuxin 3x3 (Kirin? Not the Fire Kylin)?

Thank you.

Another same type of question:
Are the Qiyi Sail 3x3 and Qiyi Yongshi the same cube?

Edit: seems that QiYi Qihang is Qiyi Sail
