It was in this thread or random cubing discussion or something.
I also remember him and Kir said that the fun was making ***** up and getting it disproven because of the limited people using the method.

Stuck at 20 seconds for 2 months?
Currently learning CMLL, 24 algs to go (Learnt all cases for CMLL except for Antisune, Sune, Bowtie, Pi)
Slow blocks (about 10-12 seconds), CMLL (3-5 seconds), LSE (3-5 sec)

Learn cmll and drill blocks. Lse like that can get you sub 15 im pretty sure.

just continue learning cmll and practicing blocks. maybe your blocks are inefficient so try doing slow solves to better your blockbuilding skills.

Howdy, I am new. I got my first cube about a month and half ago. I learned the Roux Method four days ago by watching DeeDubb's, LubixCube's, and Waffle's videos. I absolutely loved it and want to make it my main method. Quick question about color neutrality. On Gilles Roux's website, he recommends that you begin with one color set then later become more color neutral. How far along should I be before working on color neutrality? Sub-60 seconds? Sub-45 seconds? Thank you for your help.

You should start working on color neutrality of whatever type (I'd recommend y/x2) as soon as possible. Several people (the only one I can think of at the moment is Kirjava) have complained about having started the way Gilles Roux recommends, and later realizing how incredibly difficult it is to become more color neutral. Get used to it while you're still slow, become as color neutral as you can, so that you don't have to get used to it while you're fast.

So I searched for y/x2 color neutrality. And I think I understand what it means. But just to make sure I understand properly. It means that I pick two opposite colors to always be either my top or bottom (I am going with white and yellow) and then any of the other four can be my left or right side.

100% correct. You will go far!

Awesome. Thank you. I have a block building question. If my scramble does not already have an pre-made edge/corner pair, should I pick a pre-made center/edge pair and work off of that? Or should I try to find an edge/corner pair that is one or two turns away and start working off of that?

Start with whatever looks good. The best thing to do to practise blocks is to do untimed solves and try to get a solution of first block that is 9 moves or less.

i believe that you should start building the desired habits as soon as possible. the structure and logistics of the method will always be the same, there is no real reason to limit yourself in any way as far as colour is concerned.

Hi! I've been CFOP solving for a little under 2 years now, and just started to lose interest because its basically the same thing every solve. I learned Roux from DeeDubb's thing, and I average around 35 seconds with it, which is a bit worse than my CFOP times, but thats to be expected. I haven't learned CMLL yet, but my question is what makes CMLL different than CLL? I dont understand why they have different names, or are considered different things, because its basically the same thing. I know you can use M slices in CMLL, but why does that make a difference if corners aren't effected by M slices?
thx<3

CLL = doesn't preserve LL edges but preserves F2L.
CMLL = dosn't preserve M slice, UL, UR, but preserves F2B.
COLL = doesn't preserve LL edge permutation but preserves F2L and EO.
