Well, I have decided I might as well give a progress report for you guys... My speedcube finally came on Friday so I've been practicing quite a bit. My Pb is now 41.599 seconds and I passed my CFOP best.

Block building is my main tripping block, comin from CFOP I can only the bottom-center edge pair thing then insert like f2l quickly, however I have started seeing ways to insert the bottom edge and form a pair at the same time occasionally, I regret learning CFOP first, as it is frustratingly hard to overcome the close-mindedness that came with my learning f2l. I am starting to feel disheartened that I have to work so much harder for block building efficiency than if I learned roux first.

I have almost all the 2-look algs down, just 1 on orientation and 1 on permutation from waffles website.

I am somewhat struggling with fixing bad edges, it is just applying the few lags I have figured out till I get the arrow 4-flip. I may memorize the algs for it, or I may figure it out myself, not sure yet.

TL;DR- I am progressing decently, but I have a huge way to go

you're doing fine :) You'll start to memorize solutions for all the EO cases. If you get bored, do a pure M2 U scramble and try to figure it out. It'll give you a lot of focused L6E practice (though, of course, every step needs help at this point) It's just fun to do sometimes.

I tried this method a bit. It's quite interesting. I got the two blocks done like the beginner's method, and then I did the corners with CP > CO. But I don't know how to finish LSE. I can get the white layer done, but then I don't know how to finish the yellow layer.
have you been following a tutorial? The purpose of lse is to get them both done at the same time. The first step is to get rid of bad edges, and my guess is that you have some misoriented pieces on the yellow side that you need to fix.

Just curious, do any Roux users know a bunch of ELL cases? I mean, they could come up right?

To go along with this question, whats the probability of getting the D layer L6E edges solved after CMLL?

I couldn't find the solve critique thread, I don't know if it got cut out when the forum was rearranged, I'll just post it here then. Do you guys know why I haven't improved at all in about a month? I think I'm at the 20 second barrier.
Edit: you might want the actual video here http://youtu.be/CDpWvC-XUAc

To be honest, my eyes hurt trying to see what you were doing. Could you just like...give me a break down of times including LSE sub-steps

Two things
1: what? Why the shadow mini cx3? That recog is impossible. Get a usable cube.
2: turn more slowly to reduce pauses. I know everyone says this, and I always found it annoying, but its true. Slow turning at 3 tps gets sub 20 if it is smooth. You turn as fast or faster than me at points, which is bad for you because you have pauses, and terrible for me because my tps SUCKS

Because the cube feels amazing and it was a present and I'll take the stickers off at some point, but not yet.
I thought slow turning was for during really slow practise, I'll keep doing it more I guess.
Thanks for your help.

No problem. I've got nothing against the mini cx3, but how can you even manage sub 25 with that. Take off the stickers and your recognition will be a lot better,or if you like the way it looks as a collectors item, then get another one. Yeah slow turning helps until trying for sub 12, which I am goin for now and raising my tps from 3.5 to 5.

Actually I do have two [emoji13]
accidentally ordered 2, so one of them was a gift for me and one for mum. I chose the bright one because it looked best with the phantom stickers. Good luck!

Thanks. If it works for you then thats alright. Only problem with sub 12 for me is I have to get sub 13 consistently first....

you're probably already going at 4+ tps. in a speedsolve, i average around 50-51 moves so my tps is slightly above 5.
