COUBYX
THEIANOGRAPH
THEGBPACKR and many many more! Also there are a couple collaberation channels SICKXTB
and PENTACUBERS

I have more subscribers than anyone on that list. I do not do any editing beyond start/end trimming. I do not own an expensive camera. I do not but every new cube and review it. I do not make already-been-done tutorials on the same tired subjects.

I spend my time practicing in order to ACTUALLY BE GOOD AT CUBING.
I make tutorials for things that haven't been done, where I ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
I don't ask people what I should make videos about, if I don't have anything good to put up I JUST DON'T UPLOAD VIDEOS.

Just make the kind of videos you would like to watch. Upload however often you feel like. You want music in your videos? Put music in your videos. Being well-known and well-liked isn't something you can force. If your videos are really worth watching then people will watch them. If not, maybe you should find something else to occupy your time.

And, to steal a line from Stephen Colbert, you did get the Monkeydude Bump =p

Just wanna throw this out there. if your intro is longer than your content (Idfk why you have intros, you must be full of yourself if you need to advertise your name 17 times in the same vid.) then don't expect to be recognized. Effing intros are too common.

unless it's completely different from everyone else, you won't get that far. if you want to be "popular" as a youtube cuber, be different or suffer from meritocracy.

"Would you rather be underpaid or overrated?"

If someone was a mainstream or "popular" cuber, wouldn't they be overrated? And if a cuber was not famous or popular, wouldn't they be "underpaid" (not have many subscribers or be well known by others)? People usually don't like things that are different.

This is definitely one of the most annoying things I can encounter on a video. I could not agree more.

there's a good line between what's worth being popular and the mediocre trash that gets on youtube.

I agree to some extent. I like intros if they are short, but some are way too long. My intro is about 5 sec and pretty basic. I like to have a short one just because I like to ease into my videos, not just start talking right away. I also just like video editing and making videos (hoping to major in video production). I don't really care that much about subs and views, but I do tell people to sub if they liked the content, and to rate and comment because I like feedback. Just make the videos you want to make, ignore the haters but take constructive critisicm.
