YouTube cubing community and helppp!

Like what? My broke @$$ can't buy all the cubes that come to the market. Even when I get a cube and want to do a review on it, there have already been a million other people who have made one. I also can't manage to make my reviews almost a half an hour like someone.

Well you can always do a review on a old cube you have a different opinion then me for example and i may says its amazing and you might think it sucks its all personal preference. Though you dont have money do a comparison or a review of your favorite cube do a cube collection. Or do a tutorial on how you solve a certain puzzle a special way or something

Tutorial it is then.

I don't get why people don't like to watch solve videos. I like them more then reviews and stuff like that.

As long as the cubing community is not dead, I believe there will always be someone who believes they have something worth sharing. That's just how things go.

Like Waffle said, unless you do something different, that people really like, you won't get too far. If you try to improve upon something that is already being done (reviews, tutorials etc) then you have a possibility of getting there, but really all you can do is be patient, consistent with GOOD content. I know I'm no beacon of any of those virtues, but that's what you need. You don't need to be especially good at speed cubing (MMP) to get "big" on youtube, but people are more willing to give you a chance if you are good. Also, being big on YouTube says absolutely nothing about you as a person, nor about you as a cuber. If you want to be "big" on youtube so people like you and/or people think you are good, you shouldn't waste your time. If you think you have something to share, you have times you want to post, or you have cubing related stuff you want to talk about, I encourage you to try making YT videos, but don't expect them to be good over night.

A segment of the possible cubing videos which I don't think has been entered much is any kind of animation and/or creative video involving the cube. Stop motions etc are popular, but are rare. You may want to try something along those lines if you can't think of anything else.

Shoot for quality over quantity, and you have a much better chance of getting "big" on youtube.

Ugh... never thought I would ever agree with Jorghi; for tutorials mr Badmephisto has put the bar very high.

If you want to stand out you'll either have to go for high quality stuff or be very original.
I would love to see good tutorials for less popular methods like Heise and HTA but you're not likely to get 10.000's of views for those ;-)

You need to come up with something special, like if you have a mod and you make a tutorial on it then that'd boost you up.
For example, you can make a series of cubing related videos but without showing any cubes, such as the "Why is the Rubik's cube so hard to solve?" by redkb.
Just come up with your own ideas, be creative, you know, just do something that's not been done before because, at the end of the day, you'll see it's a lot more satisfying to be successful with your own ideas rather than be successful with other people's ideas.
Good luck and I hope to see a great partner out of you!

I disagree

Cool story bro.

For some odd reason I enjoy watching those, this one kids make me feel like way less of a noob, here's one of my favorites of his.

Uggh. I hate that kid. He wrote a really mean comment on one of Rowe's videos using a different account. I'll see if I can find it...

Edit: Here's what he said on Rowe's 41.90 BLD video: "It is fake. He must have remembered the way he scrambled it. Because that loser cannot do that. IMPOSSIBLE. No one can do that!"

Yeah, he doesn't believe anyone can solve a cube in 5 sec either. His ignorance is pretty amusing.
