i have succeeded at this, I only learnt very recently (love it btw) but one of my friends who I haven't yet taught/forced to cube came over yesterday and I tought him roux in a couple of hours, he was doing it CN too was very exciting/promising to see. I have high hopes for him

Slices is the meat and two veg of cubes (even LBL/slice-by-slice) I taught my brother beginner CFOP a few years back, he can hardly get past a minute; my friend I taught Roux, he gets sub 40, and has been doing it two years less. The psycology of Roux is to be intuitive, slowly reducing the cube; the LBL method throws a lot of people off, because there is so much un-doing and re-doing. Roux is a better example of dedication to the cube, because there is so much one can do to reduce times, without learning anything new. CFOP, is better for those who cannot grasp the simpler concepts, but really want to learn. Roux is the best ...
