Running cubers

Summer training went well. I am probably 3rd or 4th fastest on my team, and hope to run about ~15:00 this year(2 miles). First race, I'm gonna stick with a couple of my teammates that run in the ~14:30 range and see how it goes.
Good luck! Awesome to see more cubers running

I did a workout today, felt pretty good but was really slow
1.8 mile warmup
4x1200 at an average of about 4:30 per 1200 (~6:00 mile pace) with 3-4 mins rest in between
These could have been way faster for sure like in the 4:10s
After that a really slow 600 (1:54 lol)
Then a 2 mile cooldown putting me at 7 miles total for the day and 15 for the week so far

That ain’t slow, in comparison to your goal of sub 19 you’ll be smashing that. Well done 💪

I have my first 5k race ever tmr, i didn’t even know I was running it because since I just joined back to xc coach said new runners weren’t doing it, but he talked to me seperate saying that since I’ve been running well I’m racing tmr. Wish me luck 🤞, goal for the season is sub 20 5k
Oh my goodness he’s back guys

Race day mini workout tuneup thing today.
500- 1:38(supposed to be fast to simulate start of race but we were all sore from lifting yesterday ig)
800- 2:41(race pace)
800- 2:39 (still race pace)
500- 1:30 (quick finish)

2-3 minute rest between running. Was conversational until second 800 and the rest was pretty comfortable. Boosting my confidence about getting into the 10:4X range in 2 days. I’m really happy with how I paced myself, was really in a rythm, first 3 splits were relatively consistent. First 2 kilometers of the race Friday I wanna stay consistent at 5:20ish mile pace. That last .7-8 I wanna start amping up the pace and with 500 be passing people left and right.

Midseason update: First 3 meets went pretty well, with 15:37, 15:11, and 15:06. I really want to get sub 15 this year, so this is a great improvement rate. My fourth meet did not go well, I got 15:40. I have 3 meets left, so 3 more chances for sub 15. I just got back from a solid 4 mile run, which went very well. Next meet is Thursday! Sub 15🤞!

Another update, My coach wants me/I should be running a 16:40 5k at the end of the season. That seems actually insane. Maybe my problem is I don’t believe in myself.
That is so fast dude!
I like running (I'm not the best at it but it's good for me so yeah) and mainly practise 800m or do a bit of trail running.
Here's the trail run I did yesterday:
11.33 km in 1:18.00, 365m elevation but basically half of the elevation was on a 500m-long hill...
doesn't sound too hard but honestly my bum and calf muscles hurt so much right now
I really want a sub 2:30 in 800m, because I've run like 3 sub 2:33s and I'm just so close

I got sub 15! Ran a 14:47 super happy. I realized I can push harder, especially in the second mile. My first mile is usually ~6:50, and my second is like a minute slower. It’s ok, I just need to push harder the second mile.

Hi i got into running over the summer !
I have asthma, so until i can work up my stamina i cant do more then maybe 750m - 1k before my lungs decide to collapse (not literally they just hurt like crazy)

I havent properly timed myself yet, i plan to today on my weekly school run club thingy.

My only actual goal rn is to work up my stamina to do more then 1k with little breaks, which is definitely hard cause if i push my self a little too much then my lungs could get worse.

Why not use an inhaler?
