So a while ago I started a Running Cubers thread, where cubers could share running ideas and pbs. I think that people got inspiration from that and started making their own threads.
@Filipe Teixeira made a thread for those that breath air, and that made me realize that the cubing groups idea is being torn apart. What I’m proposing is that these threads need to stop. I’m not being grouchy because I’m Garfield, they are simply getting annoying. I’m guilty of starting this, so I’m pretty sure that if I think this is annoying, then others must think of it as annoying as well.

hoo boy... I never realized this was an issue, because I thought it was normal since others were doing it (and not getting in trouble), but if I have contributed to what might be taken as annoying then I too apologize. And if upper management sees it fit, I would not be too affected if mine along with other inappropriate threads were removed.

In direction towards @Garf, you may have technically started a controversial series of events, but I do not think it necessary for you to bear it as a weight on your shoulders. While you may have inspired my action, I have an independent train of thought as do the others, and You are not responsible for our final decisions.

As for Mr. Garf's proposal, I think it wise. These threads are not exactly local cubing groups. while one could argue that they bring people together, and essentially "group" them, this was not the spirit of the category, and threads in question are out of place. Off-topic is where they should go. Whether or not it be too harsh that they do not appear in the article index.

This is a sort of climatic point in the timeline. A long going problem has been observed with the numbers getting higher and higher, and like a mountain, all things eventually peak, and here we are at this hypothetical peak. Being that it is hypothetical, this could not be the actual peak and the problem could continue make the mountain higher and higher, but as any history big or small, the bigger they are, the harder they fall...

i dont make joke threads, and i do put them in cubing groups, but i think i have posted a few of twhem. (like 3)
Agreed, but the thing is that if you made a thread for every interest that you have then it would clutter up the forums. For instance, I'm interested in school, cubing, running, eating, computers, hills, gaming, speedrunning, chess, etc. The list goes on. Instead of putting threads out there for looking for people that share your interests, I'm betting there's forums that offer those things instead.
