One time in 5th grade I was walking home and it was really hot out. There was a heat haze, like when things far away look fuzzy when it's hot out. I saw a person walking their dog, and I thought it was bigfoot for a second. I couldn't tell which way it was walking, but it was walking away from me. It freaked me out for a second, but I realized it was just a person.
