Running cubers

I was more on the long distances.

3:40 h for Marathon
1:30 h for Half Marathon
41 min for 10km
20 min for 5km

5:10 for Half Ironman Triathlon

Half Marathon was my favourite Event.

About 3 Years ago I had a disc prolapse, one year of extreme pain, a surgery and 2 more years of light pain.
Since then I had to more or less stop running. That was one reason I started an other hobby like cubing.

But now after 3 Years, my pain in more or less gone and I can slowly start running again. But only short runs (5-10 km) in casual speed.
I don't think that I gonna make it back into competitive running.

that's sick!

I've run 10km in 1h39min in the past

41 min is pretty fast!!

but I don't run anymore, maybe I should try again

I don't know this event, how a malf marathon works?

A Full Marathon is 42.2 Kilometers, so a Half Marathon is 21.1 km ;-)

In running I was like 50% slower than world record, in Cubing it's 500%-1000% 😆

And in running we usually had age groups even if the age is much less relevant than in cubing ;)

As a guy that is closing in on sub-5... It isn't that good.
During some XC meets I ran 2 miles in under 13, but that doesn't really count.
I mean good for me lol, I could never do long distance, it’s way too much. But I understand you have different goals, and j wish you the best of luck to beat them.

I still can’t do very serious running rn, so my times have been flat for some time. 2 weeks ago ran a low 48 minute 10k, which is good for me but not really when compared to my 5k times, but to be fair I ran on narrow pavements on a route that could get hilly so it’s not too bad ;)

I'm a very avid runner. I do Track and XC. I wanted to start this thread to see who else enjoys running.
My current times in running events:
800m: 2:17.32
1600m: 5:08.99
3 miles: 18:38
5K: 19:46
I enjoy running allot but recently I am physically unable to run due to the fact I
was in Hospital for one week and had to have an operation :(
