I was sub 3 my first day with my magic then sub 2 the next day using something like this

Im going to a competitions i just want to know if you are allowed to solve the magic put it down upside down when you stop the timer

Some magics are better than others by how strong their strings are. These are all the same brand, so will be the same.

help for sub 1-ing magic?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could give me any help on getting sub one for magic, I do about 100 solves a day, but I would really like help because the way I do solves looks nothing like the way the pros do it.

BTW I currently average around 1.19

Whats your current Magic personal best? May help to have the Magic touching the timer and keep the magic centered. Keep the Magic low to the table and don't raise it more than 6 inches.

I also need advice on getting a new magic
I currently use a double strung lingao (double strung so it doesnt break, 2 strings in each spot)
anysuggestions for a new brand to get?

I am going to start magic and have one but out of the box some of the strings are already coming out

I'll tell you what I did. I practiced. A LOT. Practice well though. Don't just do solves, realize which parts you are slow at and try to figure out how you can improve.

Also I've always used the same Rubik's brand magic. I've never felt one looser(more broken in) than mine. When your strings start to break, get new strings but keep the same tiles. And always keep the same orientation of those tiles if you restring.

so should I just get one of the rubiks brand? and what kind of strings should I use to replace it, just ones form another rubiks brand?
