how is the rubiks assembly cube(the $20 one) from cube4you's performance compared to the no brand $9 ones (the ones you can get in like white and red etc). is it worth the extra money?

I think that the assembly cube just has some extra stuff... like extra stickers and cube lube... not sure but I would go with the $9 ones

the 9$ from cube4you also can adjust tension. i think then extra money comes from the brand new. heard it fees different also. that day i said my cube is not the rubik's brand, and he said 'ee'. lolz.

Ah k....

Rubiks DIY:
- Cubies seem slightly smaller than cube4you
- Mine make an annoying sound when turning
- Centre pieces need to be glued on or something

cube4you:
- Cubies are slightly larger
- smooth so far
- Centre pieces can just sit in place (type A)

i think harris chan said on youtube in his FAQ videos that cube4you DIYs wear out too fast on him... but i doubt it makes much of a difference to the rest of us who dont average 10+ seconds lol. best thing is cube4you DIYs are cheaper lol.

I just got 5 DIY's from Cube4You today. I'm assembling the first one and must note that one of the holes in the core hasn't been drilled out (or moulded properly).

I'm going to have to scrape out the plastic or something.... :-/

so how is it now? do u screw the cube very tightly?

Not extremely tightly but yes I screwed it up enough so that I feel confident that it wont pop. I just sprayed it with silicone and am waiting for it to dry.

This was the second cube though.

The first one I'm still trying to fix the fsking core because one of the holes was full of plastic. :-(
