I am x2,y color neutral so any blocks with white/yellow on top/bottom. It's nice because I generally get a good first block on one of the options.

Aren't you x,y2?

Ya. y2/x still has 8 options for FB, and I think solving the same colours every time makes you not so reliant on luck. Also, having the same L/R colours aids in NMCMLL recog. That's just me tho.

Uhm... One of my biggest skips so far I think:

U F' R' B2 U' R' D2 B' U2 B' L2 F2 L U2 R2 B2 U2 R U2

x
U' M' r u' U l' B2 // FB
U' r' U' M' r U M' U R' U' R' U' M' R' U r // SB
U F R' F' R U2 R U2 R' // CMLL
R U' r' U' M' U r U r' // EO - but where the heck is the rest of the LSE?

(12.89 - the solved cube scared me so much I threw it away when I hit the space button :P )

that's pretty crazy. even no auf or adjust mid slice. i wonder what the chances are.

I think there is no such thing as y-color neutrality in CFOP. I mean, is there anybody, beginner or pro, who is not y-neutral?

I have to agree with you. But most beginners are not y axis color neutral. I am starting to learn Roux and practice it more for fun, is it worth becoming y axis color neutral in Roux? I most probably wont make it my main method.

Chance of centres solved: 1/2
Chance of corners solved: 1/4
Chance of edges solved: 6!/2 = 1/360

1/(2*4*360) = 1/6*360 = 1/2160

unless i suck at maths, which i probably do
E: yes i definitely do, 2*4 does not equal 6.

1/2880.

I think it's a bit harder than that, because sometimes I do edge control. For example, if the both the UL and the UR edge is on the top side adjacent to each other, I do U turns before that EO alg: I put them on the UF and UR place, so after the EO, they go to DF and DB, making Step 4b easier.

In this case, I decided not to do edge control, because it would take 3 moves (U M2 U), which usually does not worth. I had no idea it will cause such a huge skip!

So I lubed my Weilong. Times are down like 1 second with some crazy ao5s and singles. Details in the accomplishment thread.

Edit: my Zhanchi is faster for roux. The m-slices are awesome. Why have I been using Weilong?

Well if you sometimes do it and sometimes don't, that makes it impossible to calculate :p Unless we go through every LSE case...

Finally! I thought I am the only one. (Nearly) everyone says that Weilong is the best, but I found my Zhanchi far more superior. And I have many Weilongs.

Dayan is in general much better than Moyu imo. It's a shame that all the attention has shifted to Moyu, just because they pump out a bunch of cubes at once. My main is a Zhanchi with Fangshi springs and no torpedoes, it pwns.

I prefer the Guhong 1 over the Zhanchi. Not sure many people still use it though.
